What causes male ejaculation?

When men's sexual function is basically developed, they will have certain needs for sex. Especially in the teenage years, the sign of the development of sexual function is that men will begin to have spermatorrhea. Male spermatorrhea often occurs during sleep, and men generally do not feel it particularly obviously at the time. Male spermatorrhea usually occurs after the age of 14, when the male's reproductive organs are basically mature. So, what is the reason for male spermatorrhea?

What is spermatorrhea?

Spermia is the ejaculation of semen without sexual intercourse. It is common in adolescent males and is generally a normal physiological phenomenon. According to the time of occurrence of spermatorrhea, it is divided into nocturnal emission and spermatorrhea: nocturnal emission occurs when the spermatorrhea occurs during sleep and dreaming, while spermatorrhea occurs when the person is awake.

Spermatorrhea usually occurs after male sexual maturity. It is rare in males under 12 years old. The incidence rate is about 25% at 14 years old, about 55% at 16 years old, about 70% at 18 years old, and up to 80% at 20 years old. It is generally a normal physiological phenomenon. After entering puberty, the male internal reproductive organs gradually mature. The testicles continuously produce sperm, and the secretions of accessory glands such as the epididymis, prostate and seminal vesicles constitute seminal plasma. When sperm and seminal plasma are stored to a certain extent, they need to be excreted from the body.

Too little or too much ejaculation can cause trouble for young people. For healthy unmarried men, ejaculation 1-2 times a month is normal. Under normal circumstances, it is common for unmarried men to ejaculate 4-5 times a month. The frequency distribution can be uneven. Some people ejaculate once every 1-2 weeks in a period of time, but ejaculate several times in a row in another period of time. This is also normal. If ejaculation is too frequent, several times a week or several times a night, or even when awake, you need to find the cause.

If you often ejaculate during regular sexual life, multiple times a week or even multiple times a night, or if you ejaculate whenever you have sexual desire, it is pathological ejaculation. Pathological ejaculation may be caused by the following reasons: psychological factors, such as lack of sexual knowledge and excessive focus on sexual issues, which put the cerebral cortex in a state of continuous sexual excitement and induce ejaculation; excessive fatigue, such as excessive physical or mental labor can also induce ejaculation; inflammatory stimulation, such as balanitis, seminal vesiculitis or prostatitis can also lead to spermatorrhea; local stimulation, such as tight clothes and heavy bedding during sleep that stimulate the external genitalia can also induce spermatorrhea, etc.

Causes of male ejaculation

1. Factors that induce spermatorrhea

During the day, if you see things, paintings, or TV programs that are sexually stimulating to you, it will form an arousal focus in the cerebral cortex, causing you to have nocturnal emissions at night. In addition, a quilt that is too thick, pants that are too tight, a bed that is too hot, or cold feet can all induce nocturnal emissions. Genital irritation by smegma can also easily cause nocturnal emissions. Sometimes, due to psychological tension and fear of nocturnal emissions, nocturnal emissions occur more often.

2. The frequency and frequency of ejaculation vary from person to person.

Some people may have ejaculation a long time after the first ejaculation; some may have ejaculation 1-2 times in a month or a week; sometimes they may have ejaculation for several nights in a row, and then there will be a long interval between ejaculations. These are all normal. Only when frequent ejaculation lasts for more than 1-2 weeks, or semen leaks out during the day when there is sexual impulse, do you need to see a doctor.

3. Sexual stress caused by spermatorrhea

Influenced by traditional concepts, many people believe that ejaculation will cause the body to lose its essence and damage its "vitality". There is a saying among the people that "one drop of semen is equal to ten drops of blood". This lacks scientific basis. Generally speaking, it is not a big deal for a young and healthy unmarried man to ejaculate 4-5 times a month. This can relieve sexual stress to a certain extent.

Is infertility a sign of developmental impairment?

Some young men never ejaculate, so they suspect that their sexual development is abnormal. In fact, these people do not need to be nervous, because semen can be discharged into the urethra in small amounts and multiple times, and discharged from the body with urine, but it is not easy to be detected by themselves. Only young men with obvious abnormalities in reproductive organs, such as small testicles, abnormal penis development, and undeveloped secondary sexual characteristics, if they have never ejaculated, are abnormal phenomena and should seek medical treatment from andrologists in time.
