Symptoms of cholecystitis in men

The most obvious symptom of cholecystitis is aversion to greasy food. No matter what they eat, as long as there is a lot of oil or water in the food, they will feel nauseous, vomit, or even have diarrhea. Therefore, the diet of cholecystitis patients must be light, which is the most important thing. In addition, a small number of patients will also experience chills and mild jaundice.

The most obvious symptom of cholecystitis is aversion to greasy food. You didn't mention this. I've had cholecystitis before and I would vomit if I ate anything greasy and I also had diarrhea.

The following are some acute and chronic symptoms. Acute cholecystitis symptoms often occur in the middle of the night after a greasy dinner, with persistent pain in the right upper abdomen that worsens in paroxysms and can radiate to the right shoulder and back; often accompanied by fever, nausea and vomiting, but chills are rare and jaundice is mild.

Abdominal examination revealed fullness in the right upper abdomen, tension in the abdominal muscles, obvious tenderness, and rebound pain in the gallbladder area. The symptoms and signs of chronic cholecystitis are atypical, and most of them are manifested as cholegenic dyspepsia, aversion to greasy food, upper abdominal distension, belching, and burning in the stomach, which are similar to ulcer disease or chronic appendicitis; sometimes due to stones blocking the gallbladder duct, it may present an acute attack, but when the stones move and the obstruction is relieved, it will quickly improve. Physical examination shows mild tenderness or percussion pain in the gallbladder area; if there is water in the gallbladder, a round, smooth cystic mass can often be felt.

Common symptoms: right upper abdominal pain, abdominal muscle tension, fever with abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, right upper abdominal tenderness, fever Acute cholecystitis

(I) Acute cholecystitis. Many patients develop the disease in the middle of the night after having a greasy dinner, because a high-fat diet can strengthen the contraction of the gallbladder, and lying flat can easily cause small gallstones to slide into and entrap the gallbladder duct. The main manifestations are persistent pain in the right upper abdomen, which worsens with paroxysms and can radiate to the right shoulder and back; often accompanied by fever, nausea and vomiting, but chills are rare, and jaundice is mild. Abdominal examination reveals that the right upper abdomen is full, the abdominal muscles in the gallbladder area are tense, and there is obvious tenderness and rebound pain.

Chronic cholecystitis

(II) Chronic cholecystitis has atypical symptoms and signs. Most of the symptoms are cholegenic dyspepsia, aversion to greasy food, upper abdominal distension, belching, burning sensation in the stomach, etc., which are similar to ulcer disease or chronic appendicitis. Sometimes, due to gallstones blocking the gallbladder duct, it may present an acute attack, but when the stones move and the obstruction is relieved, it will quickly improve. During physical examination, there may be mild tenderness or percussion pain in the gallbladder area. If there is hydrops in the gallbladder, a round, smooth cystic mass can often be felt.
