Treatment of severe sexual dysfunction

Treatment of severe sexual dysfunction

Male sexual function is a complex physiological process. The maintenance of normal male sexual function depends on the cooperation of multiple systems of the body, involving the coordination of the central nervous system, endocrine system, endocrine system and urinary system. In addition, it is necessary to have a good mental outlook and a healthy mental state. When abnormal changes occur in the above systems or mental and psychological states, it may affect the normal development of sexual life and the quality of couples' life, mainly manifested in erectile dysfunction.

Erectile dysfunction is an obstacle to sexual life and sexual sensation, often manifested as abnormal or lack of self-awareness and physiological needs. It is a general term for various different symptoms. The key to male erectile dysfunction includes sexual desire disorder, genital erection disorder and ejaculation disorder. According to a survey, 52% of men aged 40 to 70 suffer from different levels of erectile dysfunction. The prevalence of female erectile dysfunction is also high. Some people think that it can account for 30% to 60% of adult women. Among them, sexual desire and orgasm disorders are more common. Some women may never enjoy sexual pleasure in their lives.

Causes of Erectile Dysfunction

The causes of erectile dysfunction can be roughly divided into three categories: biological factors, psychological disorders and cultural factors.

1. Biological factors

Erectile dysfunction may be caused by a variety of reasons, including genetic inheritance, physical condition, female hormones, age, symptoms (including chronic diseases, neuropsychiatric diseases, endocrine diseases, male reproductive organ diseases), etc. Drugs, long-term alcoholism or drug abuse can also cause erectile dysfunction.

2. Mental and psychological disorders

Mental and psychological disorders have a significant impact on male sexual function, including incorrect sexual awareness, the impact of previous sexual experiences, environmental factors, interpersonal anxiety, and negative emotions caused by various external factors.

3. Cultural and artistic elements

Due to the influence of religious beliefs and cultural characteristics, some people have prejudices against sexual life (for example, they think "one drop of semen is equivalent to ten drops of blood"), and think that sexual life will deplete their vital energy. Subjectively, they should give up or reduce sexual activity, which can easily lead to sexual hunger.
