Will I get sick if I kiss a girl?

In daily life, there are many reasons why men look for prostitutes. Some want to change their taste, and some lack sexual partners and can only solve their sexual needs in this way. However, prostitutes are high-risk carriers of sexually transmitted diseases. Some people may kiss prostitutes during their relationship, and worry about being infected with sexually transmitted diseases afterwards. So, will kissing a prostitute cause disease? Let's take a closer look.

Kissing does not transmit infectious diseases.

6 ways STDs are spread

1. Sexual transmission

Sexual behavior, including kissing and touching, can spread STDs and is the main route of transmission. Many pathogens, such as Neisseria gonorrhoeae, HIV, mycoplasma, chlamydia, and Trichomonas vaginalis, can exist in vaginal secretions and semen. If one sexual partner is sick, they can be transmitted to the other through sexual behavior; while the pathogens of syphilis, genital herpes, and chancroid do not exist in semen, but can be transmitted to the other through direct contact of the skin and mucous membranes. Women are more susceptible to STDs than men. People with long foreskin are more susceptible to STDs.

2. Non-sexual contact transmission

There are a large number of pathogens in the secretions of patients with sexually transmitted diseases. Indirect contact with clothes, utensils, items, bedding, toilets, etc. contaminated by the urogenital tract secretions of pathogen carriers or patients may also lead to infection.

3. Bloodborne

AIDS, syphilis, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and cytomegalovirus infection can all be transmitted through blood transfusion. The probability of infection when transfusing blood containing the above pathogens is generally as high as 95%, and the incubation period is short, the disease develops quickly, the symptoms are severe, and there are many complications. Whether hepatitis C can be transmitted through sexual contact is still undetermined.

4. Mother-to-child transmission

(l) Intrauterine infection: Treponema pallidum, HIV, hepatitis B virus and herpes simplex virus can be transmitted to the fetus through the placenta, causing intrauterine infection. Fetal infection generally occurs after 4 months of pregnancy. HIV can enter the amniotic cavity through the wool amnion, and then infect the fetus through the intestinal tract through the amniotic fluid swallowed by the fetus, or directly through the mucosa, or the virus passes through the placental syncytial trophotrophy layer to infect the blood. Syphilis infection through the placenta can cause fetal miscarriage, premature birth, stillbirth or death after birth. Even if the baby survives, it often suffers from malformations, mental retardation and other diseases. Prenatal transmission of herpes simplex virus can cause fetal death, miscarriage, malformations, encephalitis, intrauterine developmental delay, cataracts, congenital heart disease, etc.

(2) Birth canal infection: Although some STDs cannot be transmitted through the placenta, the fetus can be infected when passing through the birth canal, such as neonatal gonococcal ophthalmia, non-gonococcal infantile conjunctivitis, neonatal pneumonia, etc. HIV can also infect the fetus through the birth canal of pregnant women.

(3) Postpartum infection: Postpartum breastfeeding and close contact between mother and baby can cause infant infection. If the mother is HIV-infected, the baby can be infected by ingesting breast milk containing HIV.

5. Nosocomial transmission

Failure to strictly sterilize the instruments used in medical operations can cause nosocomial infection, mainly due to unsterilized or incompletely sterilized syringes, surgical instruments, and other medical instruments that pierce the skin or mucous membranes, which can cause transmission between patients and between doctors and patients, especially the transmission of AIDS, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C.

6. Artificial insemination, organ transplantation and sexual violence

Artificial insemination and organ transplantation can spread STDs, especially HIV. Children or adults sometimes get STDs after being raped.
