What is glans herpes?

The glans penis is a very important sexual organ for men. If there is a disease in this part, it will definitely make male friends nervous. Genital herpes is a disease caused by sexually transmitted diseases. It can appear in different parts of the genitals. The glans penis herpes is a very typical part. We must have a full understanding of the situation and solve it as soon as possible. So, what is the glans penis herpes? Let's take a look below.

How genital herpes is spread

Humans are the natural host of the herpes virus. The main route of transmission of genital herpes is sexual contact with people with genital herpes, but carriers with a history of herpes but no symptoms are also sources of infection. After a person is infected with herpes, he or she can be contagious whether he or she has symptoms of herpes or no symptoms.

Patients with herpes outbreaks, whether facial or genital, should be considered infectious from the onset of the outbreak to the healing of the last ulcer. Facial herpes lesions (such as labial herpes) are also a source of infection and can be transmitted through oral sex. Therefore, if the sexual partner has a facial herpes outbreak, oral sex should be avoided. During the asymptomatic shedding period, although the infected person has no obvious skin lesions, he or she can expel infectious viral particles.

Occasionally, one partner in a long-term relationship may develop symptoms of herpes for the first time. Usually this is because one or both partners are HSV carriers but are unaware of it. The sudden onset of herpes does not indicate a recent infection from someone outside the relationship or marriage.

HSV-1 is usually spread by droplets and saliva, while HSV-2 is almost always spread by sexual contact. Avoiding sexual contact when herpes symptoms occur and using condoms between outbreaks of herpes can reduce the chance of sexual transmission of herpes.

What should patients with genital herpes pay attention to in their daily life?

1. Prevent local infection: Bad habits and lack of hygiene can cause local infection, especially when people sweat and there are more bacteria. Therefore, we must avoid infection, do a good job of daily hygiene cleaning, clean the patient's area in time, and use disinfectant water to kill the virus when appropriate.

2. Avoid local scratching: After becoming ill, patients often experience itching in their private parts. Therefore, we must prevent patients from scratching with their hands, which may lead to the growth of bacteria and infection of lesions. We must pay attention to this so as to reduce the risk of infection and enable the disease to heal quickly.

3. Dietary precautions: Some foods can easily cause relapse of the disease, so we need to improve our diet to reduce the chance of relapse of genital herpes. In fact, you cannot eat seafood, spicy foods, etc. You must quit drinking and smoking in time to prevent the risk of relapse of the disease. You must also pay attention to increasing nutrition, eating more vegetables, fruits, and ensure that the body's resistance is enhanced.

4. Ensure rest during the illness: Patients with genital herpes should pay attention to the combination of work and rest, avoid excessive fatigue, which will reduce the body's resistance. Patients with acute gonorrhea, non-gonococcal urethritis, prostatitis, epididymitis, and pelvic inflammatory disease should rest in bed. Patients with chronic sexually transmitted diseases should avoid staying up late, working or entertaining all night long, otherwise it will seriously affect the treatment effect and prolong the disease.

Patients with genital herpes should not smoke or drink. They can often eat light food or food with heat-clearing and moistening effects, such as watermelon, mung bean sprouts, loofah, carrot, shepherd's purse, wax gourd, cucumber, fresh lotus root, Chinese cabbage, and celery. They should also drink more boiled water or cool drinks, such as mung bean soup, red bean soup, chrysanthemum tea, lentil soup, bamboo leaf tea, honeysuckle tea, etc., to help kill viruses or excrete toxins as quickly as possible. In addition, they should exercise regularly and do more exercises to improve their immunity.
