Do men have breast hyperplasia?

When it comes to breast diseases, people generally think that only women will have them. Indeed, the vast majority of people with breast diseases in life are women. However, here we would like to remind everyone that because men also have mammary glands, men may also develop breast diseases, including breast hyperplasia in men, but the incidence rate is relatively low.

Do men have breast hyperplasia?

Breast hyperplasia is a very common female disease. Many people think that it only happens to women. In fact, this is a wrong perception. It often happens to women of childbearing age. Women with breast hyperplasia will experience breast swelling and pain, and there are some nodules when they touch. But some time ago, when I went to the hospital for a physical examination, I found a man who also came to see breast hyperplasia. It was very funny at the time. How can a man also get breast hyperplasia? But in fact, it has already happened. So, can men also have breast hyperplasia? Let me introduce some medical experience.

First: Generally speaking, men have breasts but no mammary gland tissue. However, there are exceptions to everything, and men also have individual differences. Some men have mammary gland tissue, and some men even have abnormal development of mammary gland tissue and breast hyperplasia.

Second: Men are not immune to breast diseases. Among all types of breast cancer patients, male breast cancer patients account for about 1% to 2% of the total number of people. Because the incidence of male breast cancer is much lower than that of females, it is particularly easy to be ignored. Once discovered, it is already in the late stage, missing the best time for treatment.

Third: For male compatriots, special attention should also be paid to breast problems, especially those middle-aged and elderly men. If there is a lump in the breast, it is necessary to go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time to avoid delaying the disease. Male breast cancer usually occurs in people between the ages of six and seven, but now it is showing a trend of younger age.

Note:

I would like to remind all male compatriots that breast diseases are not exclusive to women and can also occur in men. Therefore, if there is any abnormality in your breasts, do not avoid going to the hospital for examination and treatment because of shyness.
