The glans penis stings when urinating

Urinary tract infection is a relatively common disease, and there are many causes of urinary tract infection. When a urinary tract infection occurs, the patient will feel a tingling sensation inside the glans penis when urinating, and will also have symptoms such as fear of cold, chills, fever, headache and fatigue. Some men will also experience loss of appetite and nausea after suffering from urinary tract infection.

If the glans penis stings when you urinate, you should consider that it is caused by a urinary tract infection. It is recommended that you take medication for treatment.

What to do if you have a urinary tract infection in men

Direct infection:

When there is trauma or infection in organs adjacent to the kidney, bacteria can directly invade the kidney and cause infection, but this situation is very rare clinically.

Ascending infection:

The vast majority of urinary tract infections are caused by ascending infections. In normal people, there is no bacterial growth in the urinary tract above the bladder, and the posterior urethra is also basically sterile, but there are bacteria parasitic in the anterior urethra. Because the urethral mucosa itself has the ability to resist bacterial invasion and is often flushed by urine, it is generally not easy to cause disease under normal circumstances. The parasitic bacteria in the urethra mostly come from feces, and in women, they are often contaminated by secretions. The female urethral opening is close to the anus, and the urethra is relatively short and wide, so women are prone to ascending infections.

Lymphatic tract infection:

The organs in the lower abdomen and pelvis are connected to the kidneys, especially the lymphatic vessels of the ascending colon and right kidney. When there is inflammation, appendicitis or colitis in the pelvic organs, bacteria can infect the kidneys through the lymphatic vessels. This situation is rare in clinical practice. Whether this infection route exists is still controversial.

Bloodstream infection:

The most common bloodstream infection is bloodstream renal infection in newborns or patients with Staphylococcus aureus septicemia. Bacteria invade the bloodstream from the infection focus in the body (tonsillitis, sinusitis, periodontitis, ulcers, etc.), reach the kidneys, first cause multiple small abscesses in the renal cortex, and then spread downward along the renal tubules to cause pyelonephritis.

Urinary tract infection in men

1. Patients can do more physical exercise to improve their physical fitness, pay more attention to diet, and pay great attention to personal hygiene. If this is done well, the disease will heal quickly. If it is not done well, it may aggravate the condition or cause recurrence.

2. For urinary tract infection, drink more water to help excrete toxins. Drink boiled water instead of beverages, which are bad for your health. Go to the hospital for regular checkups. If you feel any discomfort, see a doctor as soon as possible.

3. Pay attention to personal hygiene at ordinary times. The underwear you change must be separated and not mixed with others. After washing, it must be exposed to the sun. In this way, all bacteria can be killed. Do not put it in the toilet. Because the toilet is relatively humid, it is easy to cause cross infection of bacteria.

4. Eat a light diet. Don't eat too much oil, cold or spicy food. Don't eat too irritating food. Don't eat junk food with high fat content. Don't have sex during the illness. Don't have too much decadent sex. Drink more water, get more sun, drink more milk and eat more eggs.

5. Pay attention to personal hygiene and avoid going to public places often, especially public swimming pools, public bathhouses and saunas. Such places are prone to cross-infection of bacteria, which can cause serious illness. Be sure to eat more at home and don't eat out often. Eat lighter and use less salt and MSG.
