For male friends, genital warts are also a disease that is easy to get. Especially genital warts are contagious. If you don't pay attention to private hygiene or have a chaotic private life, you are very likely to get genital warts. Generally, when you have genital warts, the patient will find a granulation growing inside the glans. In addition to this symptom, you can also verify it through other examinations.
Condyloma acuminatum is caused by HPV infection and can remain latent in the human body for 2 weeks to 8 months, with an average of 3 months. It is painless and itchy at first, and the rash is not obvious. Most patients are generally asymptomatic. It often occurs in the genital area, and papule-like, nipple-like, cauliflower-like, and cockscomb-like growths may grow in the affected area. The surface is light red or dirty red. The growths vary in size, the surface is uneven, moist and soft. As time goes by, the surface will show granules, bleeding, pus and other manifestations.
The peroxidase antiperoxidase method is commonly used to show the viral protein in condyloma acuminatum, so as to prove whether there is viral antigen in the wart lesion. When HPV protein is positive, a weak positive reaction of light red may appear in the superficial epithelial cells of condyloma acuminatum. Acetic acid white test Apply 3%-5% acetic acid to the suspected lesions for 5-10 minutes (15 minutes for perianal lesions). If part of the skin and mucous membranes turn white, the acetic acid white test is positive, which can be used as one of the diagnostic bases for condyloma acuminatum. This test has a high drug sensitivity, and coincidentally, evenly thickened epithelial cells or traumatic erosions may reveal false positives, but the boundaries of false positive whitening are unclear or irregular. Histochemistry examination A small amount of lesion tissue can be taken to make a smear and stained with specific anti-human papillomavirus antibodies. If there are viral antigens in the lesions, the antigens and antibodies will bind, and the nuclei can be stained red in the peroxidase anti-peroxidase (PAP) method. This method is highly specific and rapid, which is helpful for diagnosis.
Cytology is the exfoliative cytology of Pap smear. It is to take structural smears of warts from the affected area such as the female vagina and cervix for Pap staining. Two types of cells can be seen in the smear, one is cavitated cells and the other is dyskeratotic cells. In the pictures of condyloma acuminatum, these two types of cells can often be mixed, which shows that this method has diagnostic value, because this method is not effective in patients with subclinical human papillomavirus infection of the cervix. There is no obvious damage on the surface, but the cytology examination will have obvious manifestations, such as an increase in cells, binucleation or multinucleation, incomplete keratosis, etc. This phenomenon is very similar to the manifestation of cervical intraepithelial neoplasms. |
