What are the symptoms of low testosterone in men?

Androgen is a normal hormone in the human body. Generally speaking, androgen is a key part of the male body. Low androgen levels in men can easily lead to some physical diseases or cause other physical complications. The most obvious manifestation of low androgen levels in men is that the nervous system becomes more fragile, and they usually have no interest in anything and cannot withstand external mental shocks.

What are the symptoms of low testosterone in men?

1. No interest in anything

The functions of the nervous and endocrine systems are closely linked. A drop in androgen levels leads to a significant decrease in nervous stability, which makes it difficult to withstand even the slightest shock from the outside world. People can easily become fragile, irritable, and lack self-confidence, which is the same as the emotional disorders that occur in women during menopause.

2. Fat people have no "curvature"

Male hormones make men look more manly, mainly because of the visual enjoyment of muscles. Sex hormones can adjust the ratio of muscle to fat, reduce body fat storage, and help muscles become more developed. Without it, men will be fat and have "curves" everywhere.

3. No sexual desire towards wife

99.9% of a man's mind is about sex. But with the decrease of male hormones, especially testosterone (an important substance mediating sexual desire), sex may really be more in his mind than in action.

4. High blood lipids and slow flow

Sex hormones are as important to men's blood vessels as sunscreen is to women's skin. Clinical studies have shown that sex hormones can prevent atherosclerosis in men's blood vessels. Testosterone can reduce bad cholesterol (high-density cholesterol) in the blood and reduce blood viscosity. Without it, excessive blood lipids will slow down blood flow.

5. Osteoporosis

Testosterone plays a driving role in the metabolism of bones. Without the supervision of sex hormones, bone metabolism is easily unbalanced, resulting in a large loss of calcium and osteoporosis.

6. Prostate hypertrophy

There is also a trace amount of estrogen in men's bodies, which balances with androgens. When androgens decrease, estrogen increases, and through a series of subtle biochemical reactions, it awakens the growth factors in prostate cells, causing cell proliferation and prostate hypertrophy.

Cause

Male hormones are mainly produced in the testicles of male animals, and the adrenal cortex also secretes a small amount of androgens. The original hormone separated from the testicular tissue is called testosterone, which has the functions of promoting the formation of male reproductive organs, the development of secondary sexual characteristics, and promoting protein assimilation.

Androgens are regulated by the pituitary gland and hypothalamus. There is a complex relationship of mutual connection and mutual restraint between the hypothalamus, pituitary gland and gonadal hormones. Together, they participate in the control and regulation of reproductive activities, which is called the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis.

The main male hormone is testosterone, 95% of which is secreted by interstitial cells in the testes and 5% by the adrenal glands. Male hormones play a very important role in the generation of male sexual desire and the maintenance of sexual function, but they are not the only factor in maintaining adult sexual desire and sexual function.
