Urethra swelling after circumcision

Urethra swelling after circumcision

In daily life, circumcision is quite common. Sometimes, too long foreskin will affect men's urination and normal sexual needs. So when men have too long foreskin, they will choose surgery. After circumcision, the urethra will be swollen, which is normal and you don't need to worry too much. Pay attention to your diet after surgery and don't eat spicy and irritating foods.

Slight swelling, pain, and bleeding after circumcision are normal and there is no need to worry.

Proper post-circumcision care to avoid infection can:

1. Change the dressing regularly, gauze

2. In addition to antibiotics, you should also take drugs to prevent erection and relieve pain (such as Premarin, Suometon, etc.) after surgery.

3. It is best to rest for 1-2 days after the operation. You can rest in bed, surf the Internet or read books. Try to move less to prevent postoperative bleeding.

4. Try to avoid thinking about or touching pornography, pornographic magazines, online pictures and videos after the operation. This is because touching these things can cause the penis to become erect, which can easily lead to postoperative bleeding.

After circumcision, because the perineum is rich in blood supply, it is generally not easy to get infected. Therefore, it is enough to take some oral anti-inflammatory drugs after the operation, and intravenous antibiotics are generally not needed. The dressing is changed about 3 days after the operation, and the stitches are removed about 14 days. After the wound heals well after 1 month, you can have sexual life; as long as you don’t do strenuous activities after the operation, you can go to work normally in some cases. Suggestion: For better recovery, it is recommended to rest for a week after the operation and go back to work after the stitches are removed. After circumcision, because the local lymphatic drainage is temporarily blocked, it takes some time for it to rebuild. Some edema in the wound is a normal phenomenon, so there is no need to worry.

Pay attention to eating more nutritious foods, such as meat and eggs, which help the incision grow. Do not eat spicy or other irritating foods on weekdays to prevent scarring of the wound. Try to avoid getting the dressing wet when urinating after the operation. If the dressing is contaminated by urine, it should be replaced in time. If you are a married man, you must separate the couple for a period of time after the operation and try to avoid sexual impulses. Generally, the stitches can be removed in about a week, and you can recover in about 20 days, and you can have sex in about a month. However, the recovery time cannot be generalized and should be based on your own recovery situation.
