Many people have experienced glansitis at some point in their lives. Most cases of glansitis are bacterial. For fungal glansitis, although the surface is dry and smooth at the beginning, there will be slight redness and swelling in the glans, the urethra will also be affected, and even urinary tract infection may occur, causing the patient's sperm to not survive normally, etc. These phenomena are very harmful. Clinical manifestations Common symptoms are mild flushing, dryness and smoothness of the foreskin and glans penis, accompanied by white cheese-like patches on the inner plate of the foreskin and the coronal sulcus of the glans penis. When the scrotum is affected, a scaly erythematous rash can be seen on the contact surface with the penis, with obvious itching. When the urethra is involved, frequent urination and urgency may occur. A small number of patients may present with acute edematous foreskin and glans inflammation, with obvious foreskin edema and itching, small ulcers, and sometimes diabetes. Very few men experience penile itching and burning sensations, and flushing of the foreskin and glans penis within a few hours after having sex with women with candidal vaginitis. The appearance of this symptom may be due to the patient's high allergy to Candida albicans. Notes 1. If your wife suffers from candidal vaginitis and you also have itchy foreskin and glans penis, and you highly suspect that you have candidal glansitis, you must go to the hospital to see a specialist. Do not take antibiotics indiscriminately to avoid worsening of the condition. 2. If one of the spouses suffers from this disease, they should stop having sex or wear a condom during sexual intercourse to avoid cross infection. 3. Wash the foreskin with clean water every day. Do not use strong soapy water or potassium permanganate solution to wash it. 4. In daily life, change underwear frequently, keep your bathtub and towel securely in place, and disinfect them regularly. 5. If you have a fungal infection on your feet, such as beriberi, do not scratch your genitals without washing your hands after scratching your feet. You should actively treat the fungal infection on your feet, and be careful not to wash your underwear with your socks. 6. Abuse of antibiotics and hormone drugs is prohibited. 7. Actively treat systemic diseases, such as adrenocortical hyperfunction, diabetes, etc. to increase the body's resistance. 8. Patients with prepuce that is too long should undergo circumcision as soon as possible after the fungal infection is cured. 9. Patients whose symptoms do not disappear after long-term treatment should be checked for concurrent trichomonal infection. If concurrent trichomonal infection is present, anti-trichomoniasis drugs should be given for treatment. |
