What is the cause of high mucus in men?

When doing a health check, blood tests, urine tests, leucorrhea tests, etc. are required. Why? This is because some abnormal conditions of the human body are often detected from some excretions of the body, so these tests are called routine examinations. Urinary system diseases are very common for both men and women. What I want to talk about today is that men’s mucus strands are high, exceeding the normal range of 0-28. What is the reason for this? Let’s find out below.

The sticky substance after urination is commonly known as white urine. This kind of white urine is caused by the high secretion of male prostate fluid. Frequent congestion of the prostate can cause the gland duct to expand. During urination, the passive contraction of the prostate smooth muscle can easily cause the overflow of prostate fluid, especially at night. The continuous passive erection of the penis further stimulates the secretion of gland fluid, resulting in white urine when urinating in the morning. Or because the prostate is squeezed during defecation, intermittent white urine can occur during urination.

In this case, if there are not many white blood cells in the prostatic fluid, it can be considered as prostatic discharge when the number is less than 10. However, in patients with chronic prostatitis, due to inflammatory stimulation, it is also easy to have white urine drops. At this time, the prostatic white blood cells are more and accompanied by certain clinical symptoms. The two can be distinguished.

It can also be said that sticky substances after urination are mostly caused by chronic prostatitis. The white secretions that flow out are prostatic fluid, not semen. Excessive drinking, cold, perineal injuries, abnormal sexual life, frequent sexual impulses, and long-distance cycling or horse riding can all lead to prostate congestion and blood stasis, which is an important factor that causes prostate inflammation.

The reason why men have high mucus threads is that men are often contaminated by prostatic fluid. Generally speaking, a small amount of mucus threads in the urine is normal. The range of mucus threads in urine tests is 0-28. This should be combined with other results of routine urine tests, such as red and white blood cells and protein. If only this one item is abnormal, it is meaningless and don't worry too much.
