Syphilis is a common sexual disease that is highly contagious and harmful. Therefore, if you have syphilis, you must go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment in time to avoid delaying the disease and causing more serious symptoms. It can be cured in the early stage, and the treatment process is not very complicated. Now let's talk about the symptoms of men suffering from syphilis. Primary syphilis It occurs 2 to 3 weeks after unclean sexual life, mostly in the genital area, in the foreskin, coronal sulcus, and frenulum of the penis in men. The diameter of the chancre is 1 to 2 cm, round or oval, slightly higher than the skin surface, with mild erosion or shallow ulceration on the surface, a little secretion, flesh-red or dark red, painless and itchy, and cartilage-like hardness when touched. It is usually single, but can also be multiple. The inguinal lymph nodes or the lymph nodes adjacent to the disease may swell, often several, of varying sizes, hard, non-adhesive, non-ruptured, and painless. Secondary syphilis It usually occurs 8 to 12 weeks after infection. Early symptoms include flu-like syndrome and systemic lymphadenopathy. The rash is polymorphic, including macules, papules, scaly rashes, and purulent eruptions. It is often widespread and symmetrical, with dark erythema and scaly maculopapular rashes easily seen on the palms and soles. The rashes on the vulva and perianal areas are mostly moist papules and flat moist warts, which are painless and itchy. Erosion-like shedding may occur on the head. Secondary recurrent syphilis has limited skin lesions, fewer in number, and annular rashes can still be seen. Mucosal spots may occur in the mouth, and mild discomfort and superficial lymphadenopathy may occur throughout the body. Tertiary syphilis Also known as late syphilis, there is a history of primary or secondary syphilis, and the disease lasts for more than 2 years. It manifests as nodular rash and juxtaarticular nodules, and jelly-like swellings of the skin, mucous membranes, and bones. The digestive system is mostly affected by hepatic syphilis, the cardiovascular system is mostly affected by simple aortitis, aortic valvular insufficiency, and aortic aneurysm, and the nervous system is mostly affected by syphilitic meningitis, spinal cord spasm, and paralytic dementia. Latent syphilis Syphilis that has not been treated or has been treated with insufficient medication, has no clinical symptoms, has a positive serum reaction, and has normal cerebrospinal fluid is called latent syphilis. Early latent syphilis is within 2 years of onset, and latent syphilis is more than 2 years of onset. |
