You can do this for prostate health!

Prostate is a very harmful male disease. If not treated in time, it will cause infertility. Therefore, prostate health care is very important. Experts say that in order to better protect prostate health, you should start with changing your diet, eat more whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, and eat more soybeans. At the same time, you must carefully choose protein intake, reduce alcohol, caffeine and sugar intake, and reduce sodium salt intake.

1. Eat more whole grains, fruits and vegetables, including produce high in lycopene, such as red peppers and tomatoes. Fruits and vegetables containing lycopene are red, and studies have shown that it can fight cancer. In short, the darker and brighter the color of produce, the better.

There is no set daily intake of lycopene. Broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, Chinese cabbage and other cruciferous vegetables are also effective in fighting cancer.

2. Choose your protein carefully. Eat less red meat, including beef, pork and lamb, and preferably less processed meat. Eat more fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon and tuna. These foods are not only good for the prostate, but also help the heart and immune system.

Beans, skinless poultry, and eggs are also healthy sources of protein.

3. Eat more soybeans. Soybean ingredients can fight cancer. Sources include tofu, soy nuts and soy flour. You can use soy milk to add cereal or coffee instead of milk to consume more soybeans.

4. Reduce the intake of alcohol, caffeine and sugar.

Avoid sugary drinks such as soda and juice (some of which also contain caffeine), as they have almost no nutritional value.

5. Reduce sodium intake. Want to reduce sodium intake? The best way is to eat fresh crops, dairy products and meat, and avoid packaged, canned and frozen foods. Salt is often used as a preservative, so prepackaged foods contain a lot of sodium.

The World Health Organization recommends that adults consume no more than 5 grams of sodium salt per day (less than 1 teaspoon). The 5 grams mentioned here includes not only table salt, but also the salt in the food itself, soy sauce, fish sauce and other seasonings.

6. Eat good fats and avoid bad fats. Reduce the intake of saturated fats from animals and dairy products and eat healthy fats such as olive oil, nuts and avocados. Animal products such as meat, butter and lard are high in fat and increase the risk of prostate cancer.
