The symptoms of scrotal varicose veins are not a minor problem

Male friends should not underestimate scrotal varicose veins. If not treated in time, it will lead to infertility. Many of them are caused by bad habits in daily life. Patients will feel scrotal swelling, and some will also experience fatigue, anxiety, neurasthenia and other symptoms.

1. Symptoms of scrotal varicose veins

Varicose veins of the scrotum should be paid special attention to acute parotitis varicose veins of the scrotum. Its bilateral lesions can cause irreversible damage to spermatogenesis and even testicular atrophy, leading to male infertility. Varicose veins of the scrotum are not uncommon due to the bad living habits of adolescent males, not to mention that varicose veins of the scrotum are a common and frequent disease in men. In medicine, patients with epididymal varicose veins of the scrotum often experience testicular pain that radiates to the groin, with a distinct feeling of falling, accompanied by high fever, nausea, vomiting, elevated white blood cells, etc. At the same time, the testicles are enlarged, tenderness is very obvious, and the scrotal skin is red and swollen.

2. Disease Hazards

1. Varicose veins can cause local discomfort, which is manifested as swelling and pulling pain in the scrotum. It is more obvious when standing and moving, and can be relieved by lying in bed. It can also cause neurasthenia due to the patient's worry and anxiety, causing abnormal mood, fatigue, insomnia, etc. Only about one-third of patients with varicocele have the above discomfort, and most patients do not have any symptoms.

2. The more serious harm of varicocele is not perceived by patients, which is the impact on male fertility. According to medical statistics, about two-thirds of men with varicocele will have semen abnormalities, and a considerable part of them can lead to infertility.

3. Causes of Disease

1. Varicose spermatic veins can cause local blood flow obstruction. In severe cases, blood reflux is blocked and congestion occurs, which increases the temperature of testicular tissue and causes long-term hypoxia, leading to spermatogenesis disorders.

2. When the varicocele occurs, the blood from the adrenal vein and renal vein will also flow back into the testicular tissue, which contains catecholamines, cortisol, hydroxytryptamine and prostaglandins. These active substances can have toxic effects on the testicles, thereby leading to male infertility.
