What to do if the wound of circumcision is swollen? Please remember these measures

It is common for men to have foreskin that is too long. The simplest way is to have a circumcision surgery, but there will inevitably be a wound after the surgery. If the wound is infected, edema will occur. At this time, the patient can take the following methods to solve the problem.

1. Swelling of the circumcision wound is a common symptom. Mild edema of the glans penis within 3 to 4 days after the operation is normal, but there are individual differences. The reason for the edema is that after circumcision, the blood circulation in the frenulum of the foreskin is relatively abundant. After the operation, the blood vessels and lymphatic vessels in the skin are cut off, and a new return path is established, resulting in poor return, which takes some time. Therefore, local edema of the circumcision can generally recover in 2-3 weeks, and some can last for more than 3 months, but there is no need to panic. After the new circulation is formed, it will naturally stop swelling.

Second, edema is not completely eliminated 3 months after circumcision. This happens from time to time. The main reasons are that local lymphatic drainage is not fully established, too early and frequent sexual intercourse, and frequent inappropriate stimulation of the incision. Therefore, after surgery, you should be careful to avoid stimulating activities on the foreskin wound.

3. If the wound is swollen due to wound inflammation, you can use physiological saline to rinse the wound, and then apply iodine to disinfect the wound. If the foreskin wound cannot heal for a long time, you can use Yu?'s wound-closing prescription to treat the wound, which can reduce inflammation and swelling and promote rapid healing of the wound.

4. If the patient's foreskin wound is severely swollen, some diuretic and anti-edema drugs can be used for auxiliary treatment.

5. Take good care of the wound after the operation. In addition to antibiotics, you should also take drugs to prevent erection and relieve pain (such as Premarin, Somethicone, etc.). If the wound is swollen, painful and bleeding, you can apply cold compresses and apply pressure to stop the bleeding; if the bleeding is severe, you should return to the hospital immediately for treatment.
