Some men normally have a curved penis. If it does not affect their normal sexual life, no treatment is needed. If it does affect their sexual life, they must receive timely treatment. Corrective surgery is the most common method. Pay attention to hygiene after the surgery and do not have sexual intercourse for a short period of time. 1. Corrective surgery The surgical method for penile curvature is actually not difficult. You just need to remove the foreskin, inject drugs to make the penis erect, or infuse a sufficient amount of saline solution. 2. Surgical Method The foreskin is pulled back and drugs that make the penis erect are injected or a sufficient amount of salt water is infused to observe the erect and bent penis. The excess cavernous tunica albuginea is then folded and the bending angle of the penis is gradually corrected by the tension caused by the tightening of non-absorbable sutures. In this way, the entire penis can be completely straightened after several consecutive folds. For most patients, the erect penis cannot hold the head and chest up or be parallel to the ground before the operation. After the operation, this is completely changed. The fully erect penis can exceed the parallel line of the ground and even reach the abdomen. This allows the patient to observe whether the correction is satisfactory on the operating table. 3. Surgical Effects The correction of penile curvature only requires local anesthesia and does not cause any damage to the corpus cavernosum of the penis. The patient will feel strong tension and pain during erection for the first few days after the operation, and there will be no damage to the function of the penis. The whole operation process is similar to that of a general circumcision. Some patients may have mild hematoma or prolonged erection due to injection of drugs after the operation, but they will all return to normal. IV. Notes Before surgery 1. Clean the area the night before and on the day of surgery. 2. Patients with concurrent foreskin or glans inflammation need to receive treatment in advance and undergo surgery after the inflammation subsides. After surgery 1. Within three months after the operation, try to avoid walking, riding a bicycle, sexual stimulation and fantasies, etc., to prevent repeated erections of the penis from affecting the healing of the wound; 2. Keep the perineum clean. Some patients may feel discomfort in the foreskin after the operation. Scratching should be prohibited. The perineum should be cleaned after urination and defecation to prevent local contamination. 3. Do not hold your urine to avoid repeated erections of the penis that may affect the healing of the wound; 4. You can take sedatives before going to bed within 2 to 3 months after the operation, and you can take some estrogen orally for a short period of time to avoid pain and bleeding caused by penile erection. |
