If these five symptoms appear, men should be careful of tumors!

In medicine, tumors are mainly divided into two types, the first is benign tumors, and the other is malignant tumors. The former does not cause much harm to the patient's body and can be completely removed through surgery, while the latter is what people often call cancer, which is quite harmful to the patient. So, what symptoms will men have after suffering from tumors?

(1) Lump:

It is formed by the malignant proliferation of cancer cells and can be felt by hand on the surface or deep inside the body. Cancer of the thyroid, parotid gland or breast can be felt in the shallow part of the subcutaneous area. When the tumor metastasizes to the lymph nodes, it can cause the lymph nodes to swell. Some superficial lymph nodes, such as the cervical lymph nodes and axillary lymph nodes, are easy to feel. As for stomach cancer and pancreatic cancer in deeper parts of the body, they can only be felt by pressing hard. Malignant tumors, including cancerous tumors, grow rapidly, have an uneven surface and are not easy to move; benign tumors generally have a smooth surface and are easy to slide like eggs and ping-pong balls. The lungs and other chest organs cannot be directly touched, but the corresponding masses can be seen on chest X-rays or CT scans, or metastatic lymph node masses can be palpated in areas such as the clavicle.

(2) Pain:

The swelling growth or rupture of the tumor, infection, etc. may stimulate or compress the peripheral nerves or nerve trunks, which may cause local pain. The appearance of pain often indicates that the cancer has entered the middle or late stage. At first, it is mostly dull pain or dull pain, which is obvious at night. Later, it gradually worsens and becomes unbearable, continuing day and night, especially obvious at night. General painkillers are ineffective.

(3) Ulcers:

If a tumor on the body surface or in the gastrointestinal tract grows too fast, it may cause tissue necrosis due to insufficient blood supply or necrosis due to secondary infection. For example, some breast cancers may cause crater-like or cauliflower-like ulcers in the breast, which secrete bloody secretions and may have a foul odor when infected. Ulcers caused by gastric and colon cancer can generally only be observed through gastroscopy and colonoscopy.

(4) Bleeding:

It is caused by cancer tissue invading blood vessels or rupture of small blood vessels in cancer tissue. For example, patients with lung cancer may cough up blood or have blood in their sputum; patients with stomach cancer, esophageal cancer, and colon cancer may vomit blood or have blood in their stool; patients with urinary tract tumors may have hematuria; patients with cervical cancer may have vaginal bleeding; and patients with ruptured liver cancer may cause intraperitoneal bleeding.

(5) Obstruction:

Cancerous tissue grows rapidly and causes obstruction of hollow organs. When the obstruction is in the respiratory tract, breathing difficulties and atelectasis may occur; when esophageal cancer obstructs the esophagus, swallowing difficulties may occur; cancer in the gallbladder may block the common bile duct and cause jaundice; bladder cancer may block the urethra and cause urination difficulties; gastric cancer with pyloric obstruction may cause upper abdominal distension and vomiting after meals. In short, different symptoms occur depending on the location of the obstruction.
