Why is the urine yellow in boys?

Why is the urine yellow in boys?

We know that a person's physical condition can be reflected in his urine, and normal urine is light yellow. So what causes the yellow urine color?

1. Prostatitis

Prostatitis generally presents with frequent and urgent urination, inability to hold urine, painful urination, redness and swelling of the urethra, stinging pain and purulent secretions. Some symptoms may cause urine to have a strange smell; macules, small pustules, one or more skin and mucous membrane ulcers may appear in the sexual organs.

2. Cystitis:

The diagnosis of acute cystitis requires a urine test in addition to the medical history and clinical symptoms. There are pus cells and blood cells in the urine, and the urine is light yellow.

3. Urethritis:

Some urethritis also has the condition of long-term yellow urine, so it should be taken seriously. If you encounter this kind of situation, you should go to the hospital for a physical examination.

4. Liver disease:

When the liver is diseased, the urine will generally show a dark tea-like color. Because the kidney function cannot dissolve the total bilirubin, it will be excreted from the body in the urine, causing the urine to be light yellow and last for a long time. In the early stages of hepatitis, before jaundice appears, we often see that the urine is particularly yellow and has a strong odor, which is usually a signal of hepatitis.

5. Easy to get angry:

Yellow urine with a strange smell may also be caused by eating too much hot food, which easily causes internal heat. This condition is not serious, and you can just drink some heat-reducing tea to reduce the internal heat.

6. Drink less water:

Some people don't like to drink water, and only drink one or two glasses of water a day. Such people are also prone to long-term yellow urine with a bad smell. That is very unhealthy for the human body.

The color of urine is often affected by food and medicine. For example, when taking vitamin B2, rifampicin and other drugs, the color of urine will become darker. It will certainly get better after stopping the drug, so there is no need to worry. However, if the color of urine is very dark, it will not change to lighter after drinking water, or even the color is like strong tea, you should pay attention. If the urine is yellow and has a peculiar smell for a long time, and you feel tired and have a poor appetite, you should consider whether there is a disease in the liver, kidney or urinary system, and you need to go to the hospital for a physical examination in time.
