Tumors are generally divided into malignant and benign. Malignant tumors are cancers that everyone is afraid of, while benign tumors are treatable diseases. What should we do if a benign tumor appears in the stomach? Generally, if a benign tumor is detected in the stomach, it also needs to be treated in time. So, what are the symptoms of benign stomach tumors? Benign gastric tumors rarely cause symptoms. Some of them may be ignored because they develop complications or malignant changes after the tumor grows larger. Common complications include dysphagia in benign tumors near the anus; pyloric obstruction or pyloric obstruction phenomenon in benign tumors in the pyloric area, or pedunculated adenomas sliding into the pyloric canal and duodenum. Most of them will resolve on their own, but a few may develop congestion, edema, or even intussusception, necrosis, perforation, and peritonitis. If the tumor shows ulcers, stomach discomfort, pain, and even bleeding may occur. Acute massive bleeding may occur in leiomyoma and neurofibroma. It is difficult to diagnose benign gastric tumors based on clinical symptoms. X-ray barium examination can show round filling defects with neat edges in the stomach, and cataracts can be seen when the tumor appears to be ulcerated. However, X-ray barium examination cannot distinguish the benign or malignant nature of tumors, especially early malignant changes of tumors. Therefore, gastroscopy is particularly important. Under gastroscopy, polypoid aneurysms can be seen to be spherical, single or multiple, with pedicles or broad bases. If adenocarcinoma has nodules, erosions, ulcers or cauliflower-like changes on the surface, is paler than the surrounding mucosa, has a broad base and the surrounding gastric mucosa is thicker, it is mostly malignant. Leiomyoma is the most common mesenchymal tumor, often small, with clear boundaries, does not invade surrounding tissues, and can be treated by local excision. Through our introduction, we know the symptoms of benign gastric tumors. We recommend that if you find yourself with this disease, please go to the hospital for treatment immediately, because if you delay the best treatment time, the benign tumor will also become a malignant tumor, and then it will be too late to regret. Finally, I wish you all good health. |
