The prostate is an important organ in the male urinary system. The symptoms of prostate disease are sometimes accompanied by urine and other diseases. So what are the symptoms of prostate cysts? What are the symptoms of prostate cysts? 1. Discomfort in the perineum and a feeling of falling The symptoms of prostatic cysts are not particularly obvious in the early stages. Sometimes, symptoms of chronic prostatitis may occur, manifested as discomfort and a feeling of heaviness in the perineum, lower back pain, anal and testicular pain, pain during bowel movements, pain radiating to the hips, and symptoms gradually worsening. 2. Sexual dysfunction This is a common symptom of prostatic cysts. When the disease is severe, patients may experience pain during ejaculation, hematospermia, decreased semen, and sexual dysfunction. When the prostate and seminal vesicles are significantly enlarged, they may compress the posterior urethra, bladder, and the end of the ureter, causing urethral stenosis, dysuria, or upper urinary tract dilation and hydrops. 3. Difficulty urinating Since it is also a urinary system disease, abnormal urination is also a major manifestation. If the bladder neck is affected, symptoms of frequent urination, urgency and pain will appear, and the urine will contain red blood cells, pus cells, protein and cystic bacteria. The epididymis can often be affected, swelling and hardening, with an irregular surface, nodular, mild tenderness, and occasionally beaded nodules in the vas deferens. How to treat prostate cysts? (1)Surgery Smaller cysts without symptoms do not need treatment, while larger cysts or small cysts with symptoms can be treated surgically, with various approaches such as transvesical, extravesical, transperineal, and transrectal. Poor exposure often leads to incomplete surgical resection, high recurrence rate, and many complications. Laparoscopic resection of prostatic cysts has the advantages of clear tissue exposure, short operation time, no damage to pelvic tissue, small trauma, no fistula, and less bleeding. It is the preferred method for treating prostatic cysts that protrude behind the urethra and the bladder neck. For cysts near the urethra or protruding into the bladder, transurethral electrosurgical resection of the cyst is the best surgical approach, but for young patients, sperm preservation is crucial for normal ejaculation. (2) Drainage treatment When there is urethral overflow and the pus is large, it is best to perform abscess incision and drainage. Use an anorectoscope to expose the prostate area, use a sharp knife to cut the rectal wall into the abscess cavity, drain the pus out and place a drainage tube. Depending on the drainage situation and combined with examination, the time to remove the drainage tube can be determined. Currently, this treatment still requires the use of antibiotics in combination with treatment. (3) Physical therapy Physical therapy is helpful for acute prostatitis and abscesses. According to the conditions and needs of each hospital's equipment, reasonable application can promote the absorption of inflammation. If physical therapy is not available, apply a hot water bag to the pubic bone or perineum for about half an hour each time. The effect is good if you persist for several days. |
