How to treat scrotal heat eczema in men?

Men are most likely to suffer from heat eczema in summer and autumn, and heat eczema is most likely to occur in the scrotum. This happens in hot weather. Many men wear non-breathable underwear in summer, and lack of hygiene is also an important cause of eczema. So, what is scrotal eczema, and how to cure it?

Causes of scrotal eczema

Scrotal eczema is still relatively common in our lives. The causes of scrotal eczema are relatively complex, including internal and external factors.

1. Internal factors

People with allergic constitutions, those who are under long-term mental tension and have large mood swings are prone to this disease. In addition, people with certain diseases, such as chronic digestive system diseases, endocrine disorders, and metabolic disorders, are also prone to this disease under the influence of external factors.

2. External factors

(1) Underwear factors, mainly due to the unreasonable design of traditional men's underwear.

(2) Drug factors. The treatment of scrotal eczema includes drug treatment. Drug factors are the main cause of certain eczemas, especially eczematous drug eruptions.

Treatment of scrotal eczema

1. Drug treatment. Since scrotal eczema and eczema in other parts of the body are related to allergies, allergy-treating drugs can be used to treat scrotal eczema. For example, some commonly used antihistamines, such as cyproheptadine, chlorpheniramine, loratadine, and cetirizine, are commonly used. The drugs are mainly some weak effects of topical corticosteroid hormone ointments, such as triamcinolone acetonide ointment.

2. Scrotum care, avoid re-stimulating the local area, avoid scratching the area with your hands as much as possible, do not use hot water or soapy water to clean the area, and do not apply those highly irritating drugs on the local area. Pay special attention to not applying hormone drugs on the local area at will, as these are very likely to make the disease worse or relapse. Avoid eating some irritating foods, such as onions, ginger, garlic, strong tea, coffee, alcohol and other foods and drugs that are prone to cause allergies.
