Prostatic hyperplasia, also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia, is a common disease of the male urinary system. Prostatic hyperplasia is a common disease in elderly men. With the increase of age, the onset age is mostly after 50 years old, and its incidence rate continues to rise with age. Men have more or less prostatic hyperplasia. The clinical symptoms of prostatic hyperplasia include difficulty in urination. In mild cases, you wake up at night to urinate frequently, have incomplete urine, or excrete a small amount after urinating. In severe cases, the urine is thin and even cannot be discharged. It is often accompanied by low back pain, weakness in the limbs, frequent spermatorrhea, and other symptoms.

The causes of prostate hyperplasia are generally as follows:

(1) Frequent or long-term drinking, spicy food and other irritating foods can stimulate prostate hyperplasia.

(2) Imbalance in the body’s male hormones and estrogens.

(3) Excessive sexual intercourse and masturbation can cause the reproductive organs to become congested, and the male prostate tissue to expand due to long-term blood insufficiency. (4) Lack of physical exercise can cause the aorta to become hardened, and the blood circulation system in the male prostate is poor, which can also cause this disease.

(5) Male prostatitis has not been completely cured, or urethritis, cystitis, spermatochoitis, etc., which causes the male prostate tissue to swell and proliferate. This disease belongs to the category of "stranguria" in traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that it is caused by the deficiency of yin and the weakness of fire, blood stasis in the blood vessels, and the impact on the vaporization of the bladder.

(1) Massage therapy

Step 1: The patient lies on his back, spreads his legs, bends his calves, and bends his fingers. Press the fingertips on the perineum, and rub the perineum 100 times with the upper and lower fingertips and the palms of the hands.

Step 2: Press and rub the Feishu point, tap and rub the Dazhui point, rub the Shenshu point, and rub the lumbar sacral point heavily: press Neiguan and Waiguan; massage the Zhongshan Court, rub Guanyuan point, and rub the lower abdomen obliquely; rub Ququan, press the Yinyang Lingquan point, and press Sanyinjiao.

Step 3: The patient stands up, puts the body key on the left spleen, stretches the left leg to the side, slightly bends the knee, stands on tiptoes, and massages the right waist muscles. Use the right palm to massage the waist muscles from top to bottom for 3 to 4 times, then in the same position, take the hand and squeeze it, and then grasp the buttocks muscles. While rubbing the buttocks muscles, move the arm from bottom to top, and slightly turn the buttocks muscles to the side. Then grasp the buttocks muscles and shake them.

You can also choose acupressure. Select the Guanyuan point, Yinlingquan point, and Sanmingjiao point, and press them with your fingers for more than ten minutes, or add moxibustion on the Qihai point. After ten minutes, urination will be smooth.

In addition, the massage techniques below can also be very effective.

Step 1: Use the heel of your hand to massage the Zhongguanyuan middle point of Qizhong for 3 to 5 minutes.

Step 2: Use the outer thread of your right middle finger to apply strong pressure to massage the perineum for 3 to 5 minutes.

Step 3: Use the outer thread of your left thumb to massage the Baxiu and Changqiang points for 5 to 10 minutes.

(ii) Gua Sha Therapy

Take the sunlight, Shenshu point, low cluster Tianshu point, Guanyuan point, Neiguan point, Shenmen point, Xuehai point, Yinlingquan point, Zusanli point, Sanyinjiao point, Taixi point, and Taichong point, use a scraper dipped in scraping oil to scrape in order, and the amplitude is based on the patient's comfort.

(III) Cupping therapy

Select Shenshu, Zusanli, Yinlingquan, Sanyinjiao, Bladdershu, Qihai, Xuehai, Zhong, and Taixi points. Choose 3 to 4 points each time, use the flash fire method to suck and pull the cup on the acupuncture points, leave the cup for 10 to 15 minutes, once a day or every other day.

(IV) Traditional Chinese Medicine Moxibustion

The patient takes a seat and ignites one end of the moxibustion patch. Apply moxibustion at a distance of 2 to 3 cm from the Zhongji point for 20 to 30 minutes. Then turn to a prone position and apply moxibustion at the Huiyin point for 20 to 30 minutes until the skin turns red. Repeat twice a day for 10 days as a course of treatment.
