How to check the prostate? Three common methods!

All men should protect their prostate glands. This is a very popular saying among men in the circle of friends. Because the health of the prostate gland is directly related to the physical health of men and the quality of life of men and their spouses. If there is an abnormality in the prostate gland, you should go to the hospital for examination in time. So, what are the ways to check the prostate gland?

1. Prostatic fluid examination

If the number of white blood cells in the prostatic fluid exceeds 10 in the high-power field of view of the microscope and the lecithin bodies decrease, it can be diagnosed as prostatitis. If bacterial culture is performed at the same time, a clear diagnosis and classification of chronic prostatitis can be made. If the bacterial culture result of the prostatitis fluid is positive, chronic bacterial prostatitis is diagnosed; otherwise, it is chronic non-bacterial prostatitis.

2. Rectal examination

The prostate gland is full, enlarged, soft and slightly tender. If the disease lasts for a long time, the prostate gland will become smaller, harder, uneven in texture and have small nodules. At the same time, the prostate gland massage method should be used to obtain prostate fluid for a routine examination.

3. Ultrasound examination

The prostate tissue structure is unclear and disordered, which may indicate prostatitis. In addition to clinical manifestations, rectal examination can touch the swollen and full prostate, which is obviously tender. When abscesses are formed, the two sides of the gland are asymmetrical and may have localized fluctuations. In the acute stage, prostate massage should be avoided to prevent the infection from spreading to the epididymis and testicles, or bacteria from entering the blood and causing bacteremia. Urethra secretions can be smeared, stained and microscopically examined and cultured for bacteria. Urine microscopy often shows more red blood cells or piles of pus cells. In the three-cup test, the first cup of urine is slightly turbid, and white blood cells can be seen under microscopic examination. The second cup of urine is clear and has no white blood cells. The third cup of urine is turbid and contains a large number of white blood cells and pus cells.
