How to increase sperm survival rate?

How to increase sperm survival rate?

The cause of male infertility is mostly due to low sperm count or low sperm survival rate. If the quality is poor, it can lead to miscarriage or poor child development. So if you want to have a baby, the first thing men should do is to ensure the survival rate of sperm and be prepared for pregnancy. So, how can we increase the sperm survival rate? This is the biggest problem that troubles men. Let's take a look at the following methods.

First, abstinence should be moderate

Sperm growth has a certain cycle, and it needs to be properly emptied and metabolized to maintain good quality. Usually, fresh and high-quality sperm can be automatically replenished within 24 to 48 hours after an ejaculation. If you abstain from sex for a long time, sperm will easily age and the quality will decline. The amount of sperm may even gradually decrease due to the "absorption effect" of tissues. Studies have found that after a couple abstains from sex for a long time due to long-term separation, the semen ejaculated in the first few times often contains a lot of aged sperm, and the quality of sperm at this time may be greatly reduced. Therefore, abstinence should be moderate. Before the wife's ovulation period arrives, the husband can abstain from sex for 3-7 days. If it exceeds 7 days, the survival rate and vitality of sperm will decrease. It is not advisable to rely on long-term abstinence to increase the chance of pregnancy.

Second, supplement zinc

Zinc can maintain and promote male sexual function and increase sperm count. Zinc deficiency will reduce the secretion of male sex hormones, leading to sexual dysfunction and testicular shrinkage, which will affect the production and maturation of sperm, and ultimately reduce the number of sperm, reduce sperm motility, and delay semen liquefaction. Selenium is an essential component of peroxidase in semen. When the selenium content in semen decreases, the activity of this enzyme decreases and cannot inhibit the lipid peroxidation reaction of sperm cell membrane, resulting in sperm damage, increased dead sperm, and decreased motility.

Through the above introduction, we know that zinc plays an important role in improving the quantity and quality of male sperm, so we must pay attention to supplementing some elements containing zinc in our lives. Secondly, men must have a good living habit, not smoking or drinking, have a good sleeping habit, and don't wear too tight underwear, so that the survival rate of sperm can be improved.
