What are the items in the male premarital examination?

Premarital checkups are some tests done before marriage. After the results come out, you can have a more thorough understanding of the physical conditions of both parties. Even some problems that you don't know about may become clear after the premarital checkup. Premarital checkups are not mandatory, and many couples think premarital checkups are troublesome and don't do them. But it is recommended to do a premarital checkup before marriage. Below are some items that men should do in their premarital checkups.

1. Legal infectious diseases. These include AIDS, gonorrhea, syphilis, hepatitis B, etc. These diseases can be screened by blood draw or smear.

2. Severe mental illnesses. Such as severe mania and schizophrenia. These diseases may endanger the life and health of others, and the psychological problems of patients may also cause many serious consequences. Such diseases require diagnosis by psychiatrists.

3. Reproductive system malformations. These diseases directly affect fertility. Some of these diseases can be diagnosed by male and female doctors with the naked eye, while others require B-ultrasound examination.

4. Congenital genetic diseases. Such as albinism, primary epilepsy, chondrodysplasia, myotonic dystrophy, hereditary retinitis pigmentosa, etc. The screening of genetic diseases requires chromosome testing.

5. Routine blood and urine tests

Optional items:

1. Pulmonary function. Usually a chest X-ray is sufficient.

2. Heart function. Common heart diseases can be screened with an electrocardiogram, and congenital heart diseases can be screened with a cardiac ultrasound.

3. Blood sugar. Have a blood test to check if you have diabetes.

4. Blood pressure. Have a blood test to check if your blood pressure is too high or too low.

5. Internal organs. B-ultrasound can check whether there are any abnormalities in the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, and kidneys.

6. Blood. Draw blood to check whether liver and kidney function are normal.

The above are some of the items that should be checked in the premarital checkup for men. If it is not a mandatory item, you don't need to check it. One month before preparing for the premarital checkup, you should maintain a normal schedule and a balanced diet, so that the results of the premarital checkup will be better. If you overeat or stay up late before the premarital checkup, it may affect the results of the premarital checkup.
