Sperm is like sticky yellow snot

Sperm is like sticky yellow snot

Men's sperm is the key reproductive substance of men. Many men think that there is nothing wrong with their bodies, but their wives cannot get pregnant for a long time. In that case, they should immediately go for a physical examination of both husband and wife. Some men find that their sperm is very thick, like runny nose during the male examination. So why is the sperm very thick like runny nose?

Why does male sperm look like thick yellow snot?

Considered that the sperm does not liquefy. Normal semen is viscous, milky white, with grayish white viscosity. The viscosity will evaporate spontaneously in about 30 minutes and become transparent, turbid and thin mucus. The sperm does not liquefy because of the lack or damage of protease metabolism, which leads to the imbalance of cofactors, causing some patients' semen to not evaporate after 1 hour, or to be incompletely evaporated and too viscous.

What is semen liquefaction?

Semen liquefaction is a pathological condition. Under normal circumstances, men's semen is vaporized when it is just ejaculated from the body, but in a very short time, it will coagulate into a jelly or clot, and in 10-30 minutes, the semen will evaporate into a liquid. This process is called semen evaporation. This is a normal physiological phenomenon.

If semen remains frozen for more than 30 minutes after being discharged from the body, it is a pathological condition, which is sperm liquefaction. The secretions of the prostate and seminal vesicles participate in the coagulation and evaporation process of semen. The coagulation factors produced by the seminal vesicles cause semen to coagulate, while the sperm liquefaction factors such as proteinase and cellulose produced by the prostate make sperm liquefy.

When the seminal vesicles or the male prostate gland become inflamed, the metabolism of these factors will be hindered, resulting in an increase in coagulation factors or a decrease in vaporization factors, which results in semen liquefaction syndrome.

Ways for men to improve sperm quality:

1. Long-term high temperature, the consequences are at your own risk

Under normal circumstances, the testicles produce about hundreds of millions of sperms every day, which are extremely sensitive to temperature. Once the temperature around the testicles rises, it is possible that the spermatogenesis of the testicles will be hindered or the spermatogenic squamous epithelial cells of the testicles will degenerate, causing abnormalities in the semen. The main manifestations are a decrease in the number of sperms in the semen, a decrease in sperm motility, an increase in sperm abnormalities, and even azoospermia in more severe cases.

2. High temperature problem that is easy to ignore

1. Sitting for a long time

Sitting for a long time will compress the testicles and prostate, especially in a soft sitting position. The blood circulation in the testicles is blocked, the local temperature rises, and the pressure makes the organs swollen, which is easy to cause inflammation, such as prostatitis. If there is inflammation, the quality of semen will certainly be affected. Therefore, men who need to sit for a long time at work should remember to stand up every now and then, get a glass of water, and walk around. If you like riding a bicycle, temporarily abandon your hobby and produce your sperm well.

2. Tights

Many men like to wear jeans, which give them a sense of being unrestrained. Some men also like to wear tight underwear. Although jeans and tight underwear are very convenient to wear, they will hinder the blood circulation of the male testicles and increase the average temperature around the male testicles by 3.5℃! It is better to wear loose sports pants or cotton pants during the pregnancy preparation period. If you give birth to a boy in the future, you should also avoid wearing jeans.

3. High temperature shower and sauna

Saunas, steam rooms, hot water baths and car electric heating equipment all increase the temperature of the male scrotum. When the testicular temperature is higher than 40°C for a long time, the sperm motility rate will be greatly reduced. Therefore, during the pregnancy preparation period, it is best to take a bath with ultra-low temperature water!
