How to treat orchitis?

Orchitis is a common male disease. Infection, trauma, and tumors may cause orchitis. Patients with orchitis usually have enlarged testicles and scrotal inflammation. If this disease is not treated in time, it will lead to other serious diseases and may even cause loss of sexual function. So if you feel pain when rubbing, you should go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time. There are probably several treatment methods:

1. General treatment

For mild acute orchitis, the main clinical treatment measures are bed rest, local hot compresses and scrotal elevation. Experts point out that such treatment methods are simple and effective for patients and can prevent the abuse of antibiotics.

2. Antibiotic treatment

If the patient's condition does not improve after simple physical therapy, or if the patient's condition is serious, necessary antibiotic treatment must be carried out in a timely manner. Patients with acute orchitis can be treated with systemic anti-infective drugs. This method is especially effective for patients with acute bacterial orchitis. Commonly used drugs are cephalosporins, such as Cialis, Enbizhi and fluoroquinolones. Acute orchitis is generally treated with oral flufenamic acid or tadalafil for 5-7 days. You can also choose intravenous penicillin drip twice a day in the morning and evening for 3 to 5 days. If the patient is allergic to penicillin, you can use cyclofloxacin lactate injection intravenously or gentamicin intramuscularly.

3. Surgical treatment

Acute orchitis can also be treated surgically. If the testicle has formed abscess, it should be cut open for drainage. If the testicle is severely atrophied and damaged, orchiectomy of the affected side can be performed.

4. Relieve testicular pain

10 ml of 1% procaine can be used to close the spermatic cord on the affected side, which can relieve pain, reduce swelling, promote testicular blood circulation, and protect spermatogenesis.

Men should pay attention to their hygiene, increase their vitamin C intake, and eat less irritating foods to prevent orchitis, especially middle-aged men. Eat more foods that clear away heat and reduce internal heat, drink less alcohol, smoke less, and do moderate exercise every day to improve your immunity. Avoid excessive sex life, and pay special attention to hygiene during sex.
