We all know that wanting to conceive a healthy baby is a common thing for both husband and wife, especially many men always smoke and drink a lot during social activities, coupled with the busy work and often staying up late, which will always lead to a decline in sperm quality. Once this happens, it will have a great impact on the birth of a healthy baby. Since many men are always careless and have very little knowledge of many common sense of life, they are always unaware of the seriousness of the problem. Let's take a look at the reference value of normal sperm morphology. What is the reference value for normal sperm morphology? Sperm concentration: Calculated by sperm counter, the normal sperm concentration is more than 20 million per ml (20 x 106 ml). Sperm motility: Generally divided into four levels: A: fast forward; B: slow forward; C: swinging in place; D: motionless. Normal sperm motility is at least 50% of A and B levels, or 25% of A level. Sperm morphology: Normal sperm morphology, the head is oval, 4.0 ~ 5.5μm long, 1μm wide. The apex accounts for 40 ~ 70% of the entire head, and there are no abnormalities in the neck, middle or tail. Usually further fixation and staining are required for correct analysis. Notes The subject, after a period of frequent ejaculation, abstains from sexual intercourse for 5-7 days (the interval between the last ejaculation and the sample collection must be at least 100 hours); prepare a clean dry container with a large lid, collect semen by masturbation, ejaculate all into the container at once, cover it, and record the time when the sample leaves the body; keep it close to the body for warmth, send it to the laboratory within 30 minutes, and provide the examiner with the time when the sample was taken out. Routine observation of semen: total semen volume (ml), sperm activity, sperm density (pieces/ml), semen liquefaction time (time from sample collection to semen liquefaction), immobile sperm (pieces/high-power field of view), etc. If you see immobile sperm, you need to stain them to distinguish them into: inactive sperm, dead sperm, immature sperm, etc. If sperm cannot be found, the test must be performed after centrifugation. If sperm cannot be found after three sampling tests, azoospermia can be confirmed. The above is an introduction to the reference value of normal sperm morphology. After understanding it, we know that the quality of sperm is directly related to living habits. I hope male friends will pay special attention to it. First of all, pay attention to the balance of nutrition in diet, especially for families preparing for pregnancy. Smoking and drinking must be prohibited in the first six months of pregnancy, and adequate sleep must be ensured. Before pregnancy, a pre-pregnancy check must be done. |
