What should a man do if his urethra is a little itchy?

One complication of urethral infection in men is itching of the urethral opening. Many men cannot help but want to touch or scratch it with their hands when they suffer from this disease. This is a very bad behavior and will cause damage to the skin of the urethral opening, leading to more serious consequences. Frequent urethritis causes more problems. If you want to treat urethritis, you must first understand the causes of urethritis.

There are many reasons for male urethral itching, mainly urogenital infection, as follows:

1. Urethritis: When patients are infected with urethritis, they often experience itching at the urethral opening, as if ants are crawling, which may occur or not, and may be mild or severe. At the same time, they are accompanied by redness and swelling of the urethral opening, mucosal eversion, frequent urination, urgency, pain, urethral stinging, mental depression, and severe cases may be accompanied by chills, high fever, and difficulty urinating.

2. Mycoplasma and Chlamydia infection: Patients often complain of itching in the urethra, accompanied by redness of the urethral opening, frequent urination, incomplete urination, occasional urethral pain, burning sensation, dribbling urine, and some people have difficulty urinating; back pain, dull pain in the lower abdomen, testicular pain, and perineal discomfort; prostate fluid and semen samples were tested and cultured to be positive for Mycoplasma and Chlamydia.

3. Non-gonococcal gonorrhea: Once infected with non-gonococcal gonorrhea, in addition to the symptoms of itching at the urethral opening and itching and discomfort inside the urethra, there will also be pain at the urethral opening, redness, swelling and congestion, urgency to urinate, and sometimes mild dysuria. There will be secretions at the urethral opening, which will change from thin to dark yellow, with a small amount, and be serous and purulent, and there will be bleeding in the morning.

4. Penitis: When a man suffers from penile glans inflammation, the glans will initially become red and swollen, followed by itching of the urethral opening, itching and burning of the glans. In severe cases, the glans may become congested and eroded, with exudate, and will be painful if it rubs against underwear.

Men, like women, will appear powerless in the face of illness, but women are smarter than men. They know how to take good care of their bodies. Careless men often ignore these minor problems, which can lead to more serious consequences. Therefore, it is better for men to take care of their bodies like women.
