Reasons why men cannot urinate completely

Urinary incontinence is one of the typical symptoms of urinary tract infection. Many diseases can cause this symptom. Many men often experience urinary incontinence, which can cause many patients to suffer and sometimes cause unnecessary embarrassment. So what exactly causes men to urinate incontinence? Next, let us understand the reasons that cause men to urinate incontinence.

Inflammatory irritation

When there is inflammation in the bladder, the nerve receptor threshold is lowered, the urinary center is in an excited state, resulting in incomplete urination and decreased urine volume (<300-500 ml/time for adults). Therefore, incomplete urination is an important symptom of cystitis, especially acute cystitis and tuberculous cystitis. Other conditions such as prostatitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis, chronic penile capitis, vulvitis, etc. can also cause incomplete urination. Under the stimulation of inflammation, incomplete urination, urgency, and pain when urinating often occur at the same time, which is called urinary tract irritation syndrome, commonly known as "tri-urination syndrome".

Non-inflammatory irritation

Such as urinary tract stones and foreign bodies, usually with urinary incontinence as the main manifestation.

Reduced bladder capacity

Such as bladder space-occupying lesions, pressure from an enlarged uterus during pregnancy, tuberculous bladder contractions, or larger bladder stones.

Neurological

Incomplete urination occurs only during the day or before going to sleep at night, often due to nervousness or hysteria. It may also be accompanied by urinary urgency and pain.

Prostatic hyperplasia

Prostatic hyperplasia is a common disease in middle-aged and elderly men. The direct pathological reaction is urethral obstruction, which causes frequent urination, urgency, and incomplete urination. As the symptoms of hyperplasia develop, urethral obstruction gradually worsens, urine cannot be emptied, and the amount of urine retained in the bladder continues to increase, which increases the pressure in the kidneys on both sides, causing bilateral hydronephrosis, impairing kidney function, and leading to chronic uremia.

The above are the common causes of male urinary incontinence. Male friends must pay attention to this disease. Do not ignore your health due to busy work. If you do not actively treat the disease, it will only cause further harm to the body. I hope that the majority of male compatriots can pay enough attention to it.
