Causes of left testicular varicose vein

Causes of left testicular varicose vein

Varicose veins is a very common disease, which has a great impact on physical health. After suffering from varicose veins, patients should pay attention to not standing for too long, otherwise the condition will become serious, especially varicose veins in the legs. What is the cause of left testicular varicose veins? Many patients are not clear about this. Let me introduce it in detail below.

Causes of left testicular varicose vein:

1. The temperature is too high and the heat dissipation is poor.

2. Congenital left spermatic vein valvular insufficiency.

Congenital left spermatic vein valvular insufficiency can cause blood stagnation in the left spermatic vein.

3. Blood stasis and testicle damage.

4. Damage to the interstitial cells of the testicles.

Diagnosis

(I) Clinical manifestations: 1. The patient may be completely asymptomatic, and the symptoms are only discovered during physical examination. 2. The affected side of the scrotum or testicle has a swollen feeling or pain, the scrotum is enlarged, the affected side of the scrotum and testicle are lower than the healthy side when standing, and dilated and tortuous veins can be seen on the surface of the scrotum. There are soft masses like earthworms when touched, and lying flat can alleviate or eliminate the symptoms. 3. The patient may have symptoms of neurasthenia, such as headache, fatigue, neurasthenia, etc. Some patients have sexual dysfunction. The main cause is that the temperature in the scrotum on the affected side rises and reflects to the opposite side, causing spermatogonia to degenerate, atrophy, and reduce the number of sperm; or it is because the hydroxytryptamine or steroids secreted by the left adrenal gland flow back into the testicle through the left internal spermatic vein, causing a decrease in sperm count.

Severity

Clinically, varicocele can be divided into three degrees:

Grade 1 (mild): When standing, no varicose veins can be seen protruding from the scrotal skin, but the varicose veins in the scrotum can be felt. The varicose veins disappear quickly when lying down.

Grade 2 (moderate): When standing, dilated venous protrusions can be seen on the scrotum, and more obvious varicose veins can be felt in the scrotum. The mass gradually disappears when lying down.

Grade 3 (severe): There are obvious large blood vessels on the surface of the scrotum, obvious earthworm-like dilated veins in the scrotum, and the venous walls are thickened and hardened; they disappear slowly when lying down.

Varicose veins can cause progressive testicular impairment and reduced fertility in some men starting during puberty, but this impairment is only apparent if the fertility of the partner is also reduced.

Varicose veins can sometimes affect fertility. 9% of people with varicocele are infertile, and 39% of male infertility is caused by varicocele. Severe cases can cause testicular atrophy. The reason is that the temperature in the scrotum on the affected side rises and reflects to the opposite side, causing spermatogonia to degenerate, atrophy, and reduce sperm count. Clinically, it is found that tall and thin people are more likely to suffer from this disease. Although medicine has not confirmed that body shape is related to varicocele, it may be because the spermatic vein is at a right angle when it returns to the left renal vein, which affects the return of blood.

For secondary varicocele, the abdomen should be examined and a pyelogram should be performed to exclude renal tumors.

After understanding the causes of left varicose veins, the relief of left varicose veins needs to be done according to the specific causes. However, when treating the disease, you should pay attention to reducing exercise and not doing it too much, otherwise it will not have any effect on the treatment of the disease.
