Is it a disease if there are small transparent lumps in the semen?

When humans give birth to offspring, it is through the combination of male and female reproductive cells that the next generation is produced. Males are responsible for providing sperm, and females are responsible for providing eggs. The combination of sperm and eggs can develop into embryos and achieve the purpose of reproduction. However, not everyone has a healthy reproductive ability. For example, the phenomenon of transparent small pieces in semen is a phenomenon that confuses many men. Let's take a look at the introduction below.

Normally, the semen just ejaculated is viscous, milky white, and contains grayish white clots. After about 10-20 minutes, the clots liquefy themselves and become translucent, turbid, thin mucus. The smell of semen is produced by the arginine secreted by the prostate in the semen, which is a unique fishy smell. If the semen is yellow, it may be an inflammation such as prostatitis; or the semen contains urine. Taking certain antibiotics and frequent sexual activities will cause semen to be more transparent; while long-interval sexual activities will produce yellower semen.

Semen originally exists in the reproductive tract in a liquid state. When the semen is ejected from the penis, it will immediately turn into a milky white or slightly yellow translucent jelly-like state under the action of a protein-like substance secreted by the seminal vesicle. This is the solid state of semen that people usually see. The sperm is "solidified" in the semen and cannot swim freely. After 5-30 minutes, with the participation of a hydrolase secreted by the prostate, the semen liquefies and automatically changes from a jelly-like state to a thin watery state.

If the prostate or seminal vesicles are inflamed, the semen of these patients may not liquefy for a long time or liquefy incompletely due to the lack of secretion or damage of hydrolytic enzymes. The phenomenon that the ejaculated semen liquefies after half an hour or even an hour is a pathological phenomenon, which is medically called semen liquefaction.

From the above introduction, it is normal to have small transparent pieces in semen. Male friends do not need to worry too much about this problem. Just follow your normal lifestyle. In order to avoid sperm problems in the later stage, men should quit smoking and drinking and participate in more physical exercise, which can improve the ability of sperm.
