What are the characteristics of male development?

I remember when I was in junior high school, our teacher said in the political class that both women and men have puberty, and the development of women and men during puberty is different. However, many boys don’t pay much attention to this knowledge. As boys grow older, the characteristics of boys’ development also emerge one by one, which makes many girls feel very strange and interesting. This also makes the boys themselves very surprised. So what are the characteristics of boys’ development? Let us have a deep understanding.

1. Development of reproductive organs

The male reproductive organs include the external genitalia and the internal genitalia. The external genitalia mainly include the penis and scrotum; the internal genitalia mainly include the testicles, epididymis, seminal vesicles, and prostate. The penis is the male's sexual organ, and the front end of the penis is the glans. In infants and young children, the glans is covered with a layer of skin called "foreskin". After puberty development accelerates, or when approaching maturity, the foreskin will gradually retract backwards to expose the glans. The testicles are the most important internal reproductive organs of men. They are oval in shape, there is a pair, and they are stored on both sides of the male's scrotum. In the fetal period, the testicles are in the human abdominal cavity and only descend into the scrotum after birth. Some boys have no testicles in their scrotum, or only one side has testicles, which means that the testicles are still in the abdominal cavity and have not descended. This is called "cryptorchia" in medicine. Surgery should be performed as early as the age of two or three. The main functions of the testicles are two: one is to produce sperm; the other is to secrete male hormones. The epididymis is attached to the top of the testicles. Its main function is to store the sperm produced by the testicles. At the same time, the secretions it produces provide nutrition for the sperm and promote the further maturation of the sperm. The seminal vesicle is located at the bottom of the bladder. Its function is to secrete a yellow viscous liquid and participate in the composition of semen, which has the effect of increasing sperm motility. The prostate is a solid organ. The milky white liquid it secretes is the main component of semen.

2. Development of male secondary sexual characteristics

At the same time as the reproductive organs develop, male secondary sexual characteristics also develop. The so-called sexual characteristics refer to a feature that distinguishes males from females. Every person can be determined to be male or female at birth, and the distinction is made based on the reproductive organs. The difference between male and female reproductive organs is called the primary sexual characteristics, also known as the primary sexual characteristics. After entering puberty, the difference in appearance and body shape between men and women, in addition to the reproductive organs, is called the secondary sexual characteristics, also known as the secondary sexual characteristics. The development of male secondary sexual characteristics is mainly manifested in changes in the body surface, with the most prominent changes being hair. At around 11-12 years old, short and fine pubic hair grows on the vulva; at the same time, at around 12 years old, the Adam's apple on the neck begins to protrude, and the voice becomes louder and deeper. This period is called the "voice change period." After 1-2 years, when they are 13 or 14 years old, they begin to grow armpit hair, beards, and the hairline on their foreheads gradually moves back, forming a special male hairstyle. The development of male secondary sexual characteristics turns a naughty and cute little boy into a man with a sturdy figure, well-developed muscles, and a deep and loud voice. So, what is the basis for maintaining male secondary sexual characteristics? It is the testosterone secreted by the testicles.

3. Male sexual health

During the development of the reproductive system, some sexual physiological phenomena will gradually appear in men. Spermia: Spermia is a normal physiological phenomenon and a special sign of male sexual maturity. We just talked about the function of the testicles to produce sperm. When a boy is around 14 years old, his testicles have grown for about a year and he begins to be able to produce the first batch of mature seeds of life - sperm, and from then on, he will produce new sperm every day and continue throughout his life. A normal adult male's testicles will produce millions or even hundreds of millions of sperm every day. These produced sperm then go to the tubules that make up the epididymis and stay for about three weeks to complete their maturation process.

The above describes the characteristics of boys' development. In fact, these are related to medical knowledge. Young people need to go online to collect information on this subject if they have time and learn more about the changes in their own bodies. Because during the development stage of their bodies, they will be careless. If they understand it in advance, they will take good care of their bodies and know what they will develop into at which stage. I hope everyone will collect it well. It will be of great benefit to everyone. I also hope that everyone has a healthy body.
