Gonorrhea symptoms in men

Gonorrhea symptoms in men

Gonorrhea is a purulent infection of the urogenital mucosa caused by gonorrhea bacteria. It is a type of sexually transmitted disease that is transmitted through sexual intercourse and can affect both men and women. Gonorrhea has a certain incubation period, during which there are no obvious symptoms. The early symptoms of gonorrhea in men are redness, swelling, itching, and slight burning of the urethral opening, followed by thin mucus flowing out of the urethral opening.

Severe cases may have mild swelling, which may cause urination difficulties. In the early stage, patients often experience frequent urination, urgency and pain, so they may be afraid to urinate or their urine flow may be interrupted. When you get up in the morning, there will be abscesses blocking the urethra, which makes urination more painful. After a few days, gonorrhea will infect the entire urethra, and pus will begin to overflow from the urethra.

At this time, the pus will constantly stimulate the urethra, causing it to turn outward. Press from the base of the genitals to the urethra with your hands to squeeze the pus or mucus out of the urethra. The lymph nodes on both sides of the groin begin to become red, swollen, and tender due to infection. In severe cases, purulent phenomena may occur. In the first two weeks of the disease, the patient will feel weak and have a fever.

After more than a month, the fever will subside on its own, but gonorrhea will still appear when you do not urinate for a long time, blocking the urethra. Male gonorrhea can have many complications: seminal vesiculitis, conjunctivitis, and even pharyngitis, arthritis, and sepsis. At this time, gonorrhea is no longer a local infection, but spreads to various organs and skin tissues of the body through blood circulation.

Male gonorrhea is divided into acute male gonorrhea and chronic male gonorrhea. Although the symptoms caused by the two conditions are different, they are both very contagious. Therefore, some male friends are advised to keep themselves clean for the health and happiness of their families and themselves. Moreover, if they are found to have been infected with gonorrhea, they should go to the hospital immediately for timely treatment to prevent the disease from worsening.
