Kidney deficiency is divided into "kidney yin deficiency" and "kidney yang deficiency". In clinical practice, yin deficiency is more common than yang deficiency. The symptoms of kidney yang deficiency are pale or dark complexion, cold waist and knees, cold limbs, mental fatigue, and general weakness; impotence and premature ejaculation in men, decreased libido; unformed stool or frequent and long urination, frequent urination at night, pale tongue with white fur. The symptoms of kidney yin deficiency are red complexion, sore waist and knees, dizziness and tinnitus, loose teeth and loosening; spermatorrhea and premature ejaculation in men; insomnia and forgetfulness, dry mouth and throat, irritability, sweating when moving, red cheeks in the afternoon, weight loss, yellow and scanty urine, and red tongue with little or no fur. The kidney's yin and yang govern the yin and yang of the entire body. The changes and balance of the kidney's yin and yang affect the dynamic balance of the yin and yang of the internal organs.

Kidney deficiency is a manifestation of human aging. Kidney deficiency in the elderly is an irresistible physiological process caused by aging, which is called physiological kidney deficiency. Kidney deficiency symptoms in middle-aged people are a kind of premature aging, which is called pathological kidney deficiency. For middle-aged friends, to change premature aging, they should replenish the kidney in time and improve the symptoms of kidney deficiency aging.

Some people think that low back pain is caused by kidney deficiency. In fact, this is a misunderstanding. Low back pain is not necessarily caused by kidney deficiency. Using only kidney-tonifying methods to treat low back pain can easily delay the disease. In clinical practice, some chronic low back pain is common, such as low back pain caused by chronic lumbar muscle fatigue, intervertebral disc degeneration and other lesions. Kidney-tonifying and yang-enhancing drugs are sometimes effective. But not all low back pain is related to kidney deficiency. Most kidney-tonifying drugs have warm properties. If patients with damp-heat syndromes such as lumbar tuberculosis, lumbar suppurative infection, and ankylosing spondylitis take them, their condition will be aggravated. Low back pain is just a symptom. In addition to diseases of the bones, joints, muscles and other tissues in the waist, low back pain can also be caused by diseases of the internal organs near the waist.

Some people blindly nourish the kidneys, but there are actually many misunderstandings here. There are many people in life who do not need to nourish the kidneys at all. Fatigue and age are not the criteria for defining kidney nourishment. If people who do not need kidney nourishment take kidney nourishing medicine, not only will they not be able to replenish nutrients, but they will also increase the burden of detoxification on the organs; some people think that "people with poor spleen and stomach in middle age should also nourish the kidneys", which is also inappropriate. "All medicines are three-point poisonous", kidney nourishing medicines are more harmful to people with poor spleen and stomach. If you insist on nourishing, the body will not only be unable to absorb it, but will have side effects; some middle-aged people think that "sexual dysfunction is kidney deficiency", which is also an incorrect view. Sexual health problems cannot be simply attributed to "kidney deficiency" and "need to nourish the kidneys to strengthen yang".
