Wet and sticky testicles

Wet and sticky testicles

It seems that many people have such a problem. The wet and cold scrotum has puzzled male friends for a long time. When I reached out and looked between my legs, it was wet! I think that kind of feeling is really not good. However, is the wet scrotum really what we should worry about the most? Biyang Renji Men's Specialist Hospital reminds the following:

1. About the scrotum

The scrotum is the area where the male testicles are located.

The scrotum is stretchable, so its skin has many wrinkles, which makes it easy for dirt to hide.

Secondly, there are many sebaceous glands on the scrotum. The sebaceous glands are for heat dissipation. The testicles produce sperm and need a lower temperature for storage. In that case, it would be bad if there is no good heat dissipation system.

2. Why is it damp and cold?

Clammy means that there is no change in the surface of the scrotal skin, but there is an abnormal feeling of sweating, clammy or chilly. The most common feeling is that you feel sticky when you touch it with your hand. What's going on?

The first is the sebaceous glands. When the temperature of the testicles is too high, the sebaceous glands of the scrotum will immediately metabolize sweat automatically. This sweat does not evaporate immediately, of course, causing a damp and cold feeling.

Secondly, the scrotum is also home to a large number of bacteria and fungi. There are at least 250 types of bacteria living on the human body surface, and the ratio of the total number of microbial species to the total number of tissue cells is 10:1. When it multiplies in large numbers, even though the obvious biofilm in the culture medium cannot be seen by the human eye, it is undoubtedly able to lock water.

In addition, some diseases can also cause scrotal moisture.

3. What diseases are associated with scrotal dampness?

Hemostatic eczema

The term eczema refers specifically to a set of clinical manifestations. The classification of actual symptoms is still blind and chaotic, and here it refers specifically to eczema that occurs on the scrotum.

Subacute scrotal eczema is characterized by focal redness, swelling, and severe itching of the scrotal skin, with the appearance of numerous papules and blisters ranging in size from needles to millet grains. After scratching or rubbing, the erythema, papules, and blisters break open, revealing a large area of moist erosion, with a large amount of light yellow sputum exuding, some of which solidify into light yellow scabs. Generally, after 2-3 weeks, the swelling is relieved, the exudate decreases, and the disease is gradually and completely cured, but it is prone to relapse.

One of the key aspects of scrotal eczema is severe itching. If there is no severe itching, it can basically be cured.

Blood prostatitis

The clinical symptoms of prostatitis are diverse, including pain and discomfort in the perineum, supraphalic area, groin, and sexual organs; symptoms at the urethral orifice include a burning sensation during urination, inability to hold urine, frequent and urgent urination, and painful urination, which may be accompanied by hematuria or purulent discharge from the urethral orifice at the end of urination; subacute infection may be accompanied by systemic symptoms such as chills, fever, and fatigue.

Replenishment of varicose veins

The cause of varicose veins is still unclear; however, standing for a long time and often continuously increasing the pressure in the abdomen may cause the symptoms. However, the basic mechanism of the symptoms is related to the venous valve in the scrotum. The normal venous valve can prevent blood from flowing back. Because the valve in the patient's scrotum fails to function, blood accumulates in the veins in the scrotum, causing the veins to enlarge and varicose, and even the scrotal subcutaneous tissue to burst out.
