Normal range of blood pressure for men

Normal range of blood pressure for men

Normal blood pressure is a prerequisite for the fluidity of the blood circulation system. Blood pressure is maintained normal under the adjustment of various factors, thereby providing various tissues and organs with sufficient blood to maintain normal basic metabolism. Blood pressure is a key electrocardiogram of the body. Normal blood pressure can not only maintain normal blood perfusion of the body's internal organs, but also reduce the chronic damage to the body's internal organs, which is conducive to improving our quality of life. So, what is the normal blood pressure for men?

First of all, it should be said that the diagnostic standard for hypertension in both men and women is over 140/90 mmHg. In other words, blood pressure below this value is considered normal blood pressure. However, the "Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Hypertension in China" classifies blood pressure, and normal blood pressure is divided into two conditions:

Normal blood pressure: 90-120/60-80 mmHg

Normal low blood pressure: 121-139/81-89 mmHg

It is not difficult to see that blood pressure less than 120/80 mmHg is truly normal blood pressure, that is, it belongs to the ideal blood pressure. If it is higher than this value and lower than the diagnostic standard of hypertension, it can only be said that it cannot be confirmed as hypertension. Why?

More and more studies have found that when the body's blood pressure is below 120/80 mmHg, the various physiological activities of the body's tissues and organs are in the best condition, especially the friction resistance of blood flow in blood vessels, water flow, and pressure generated are all in the most appropriate condition, and the contraction of blood vessels is also in the best condition and not easily damaged.

In our country, the diagnosis of hypertension is based on the standard of systolic blood pressure ≥ 140mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90mmahg measured three times on different days without taking antihypertensive drugs. We all need to treat it correctly. For patients diagnosed with hypertension, they should actively change their current behavior and take antihypertensive drugs regularly under the specific guidance of doctors. In addition, they should pay attention to testing and follow-up visits.
