Is it normal to have hair on the testicles?

In the life of men, there is a "role" that plays a very important role, that is, the testicles. It looks like two "chestnuts", one on the upper and one on the lower part of the scrotum. The testicles are the key organs of the human body that maintain male reproductive function and sexual characteristics. If the testicles of adult men are too large or too small, it will affect the reproductive function to some extent and should be taken seriously. So is it normal to have hair on the testicles?

Testicular hair growth is a normal physiological condition. Male testicles have more hair follicles, so they will have more hair. It is a secondary sexual characteristic of men. However, the amount of testicular hair growth varies from man to man, and the difference is also quite large. It is mainly related to genetic factors and the level of male hormones in the body. If your father has more testicular hair, then you will also have more testicular hair. If the body's female hormones are high, it will also cause more testicular hair growth.

If there is a hair-like structure in the testicular tissue, it is an abnormal condition and the possibility of testicular teratoma should be considered. However, to see whether the testicle has a hair-like structure, the skin and tunica vaginalis on the surface of the testicle must be cut open to dissect the testicle and observe whether the testicle is hairy or has other tissue structures. If it is impossible to observe whether there is a lot of hair in the testicle through the epidermis, there are hair follicles on the scrotal skin on the surface of the testicle, and there may be hair growth on the skin. This is a normal physiological structure, not an abnormal structure, and no treatment is required.

However, if hairy structures are found on the testicles during the operation, it is recommended to perform a cryo-biopsy during the operation. If it is confirmed to be a teratoma, then it is necessary to consider the removal of the testicles for treatment, because teratoma is a type of testicular tumor. However, if the hair only grows on the skin on both sides of the testicles, it is a normal distribution of scrotal hair and does not require any treatment. It is a completely normal condition.
