Characteristics of boys' sexual development age

Abnormal clinical symptoms of boys' reproductive organs are more common, the key ones include cryptorchidism, prepuce hyperplasia, long prepuce, hydrocele, etc.

About 1.8% of boys will have cryptic testicles at birth, of which about 40% are premature babies. There are two types of cryptic testicles: unilateral and bilateral. 80% of cryptic testicles can be naturally reduced within 1 year old. If they still do not reduce after 2 years old, they can only be treated with surgery. Many cryptic testicle patients also have symptoms such as inguinal oblique hernia or hypospadias.

If parents find clinical symptoms of cryptic testis in their children during routine physical examinations when they enter school, they should take their children to the doctor immediately. Otherwise, the older the children are, the more adversely affected their testicles will be by the high temperature in the abdomen. The shrinkage of the seminiferous tubules and the decrease in spermatogenic cells will become more obvious, and people with bilateral cryptic testis often lose their reproductive ability.

However, the interstitial cells of the male testes of cryptic testes can still metabolize androgens, so the pubic hair, beard, etc. still grow and develop. Therefore, simply checking the secondary sexual characteristics is not a solution to the problem and should be taken seriously.

Prepuce is too long and foreskin is too long. If the foreskin is too long and cannot be turned up to expose the urethral opening and glans penis, it is called prepuce. If the foreskin covers the glans penis, but can be turned up to expose the male genitals, it is called prepuce. Both can cause inflammation of the glans penis, which will then develop into urethral gate or anterior urethral stenosis, resulting in urination problems. After a long period of time, the mucus metabolized from the small glands at the neck of the glans penis becomes a slurry-like accumulation, which is very smelly. This is urine scale.

Urine scale will continue to irritate the prepuce, causing inflammation, swelling and pain in the area. Long-term irritation from urine scale can also cause penile cancer. According to statistics, more than 90% of penile cancers have a history of prepuce and foreskin. Therefore, when children with prepuce are found, parents should be encouraged to send them for circumcision immediately. When children with prepuce are found, parents should be reminded to wash the area with warm water or 1/5000 potassium permanganate water frequently and keep it clean on a daily basis. It is better to be able to undergo surgery naturally.
