A small fleshy ball grew on the scrotum

The scrotum is a very important part of a man. If there is something abnormal in this part, it will often make men very worried. In daily life, many men find a small ball of flesh on their scrotum. It may be caused by sebaceous cyst. We can learn more about it in detail and then make a judgment based on our own situation. Only after we have confirmed it can we better treat it. Let's take a look at the situation of sebaceous cyst.

What to do if a small meat ball grows on the scrotum epidermis

The first thing to consider is a sebaceous cyst with infection in the epidermis of the scrotum. Generally speaking, it is caused by the obstruction of the secretion of the hair follicles in the scrotum. It can usually be completely cured by outpatient surgery. If it is not treated surgically, it is easy to cause infection and suppurative inflammation.

How to care for your scrotum

The male scrotum has the function of regulating temperature, just like an "air conditioner" that regulates the temperature of the entire reproductive organ and protects the healthy growth of sperm. However, it is worth reminding that in hot and humid weather, the "air conditioner" also needs maintenance.

Male gonads require a low temperature environment to produce sperm, so humans, like other mammals, have an external "bag" - the scrotum, which provides a lower temperature for the testicles.

First, the scrotal skin is very sensitive to the external temperature. It has no subcutaneous fat but abundant sweat glands, which helps to dissipate heat. Secondly, when the external temperature rises, the scrotal skin relaxes, increasing the heat dissipation area, which is conducive to local heat dissipation. In addition, the arteries in the spermatic cord are entangled with the parallel venous bundles, forming a countercurrent exchange system, and the venous blood continuously takes away the heat from the arterial blood in the abdominal cavity.

The ideal temperature for sperm production and survival is 1-2°C lower than normal body temperature (37.3°C). If the testicular temperature rises to 38°C, sperm will no longer be produced; if the temperature of mature sperm rises to 40°C, the protein in it will coagulate and die, just like a raw egg being cooked.

Although the scrotum itself has the function of heat dissipation, when the scrotum is squeezed for a long time or the surrounding temperature is too high, it cannot keep the testicles and sperm at a suitable temperature. Therefore, developing good living habits plays a vital role in the prevention and treatment of diseases.

First of all, you should try to avoid staying in a high temperature environment for too long. Putting a laptop on your lap, riding or driving for a long time, sitting for a long time, etc. will cause the scrotal temperature to rise, so you should try to avoid it.

Secondly, you should keep the affected area dry and cool. Do not wear synthetic underwear or tight jeans. Underwear should be loose, comfortable and breathable. It is best to wear pure cotton products. Remember to change and wash them in time, especially after exercise. Be sure to clean the seams when taking a bath, but avoid using soap to clean the affected area.

During the treatment of scrotal eczema, do not scratch or scald excessively, especially do not scald with soapy water. When it itches, spray the Chinese medicine preparation containing Stemona, Kochia, and Cynanchum to kill bacteria and insects, dispel wind, promote dampness and stop itching, and treat eczema fundamentally. In terms of diet, it is recommended to eat a balanced diet, eat less spicy food, and eat more fresh vegetables and fruits.
