Vaginitis in men

Vaginitis in men

Vaginal fungus infection in men will affect the function of the penis, causing severe itching and redness of the penis, and will also affect the patient's sleep and penile function. The glans penis needs to be cleaned and attention should be paid to the hygiene of clothing. Men can have sex after being infected with vaginitis, otherwise it will be transmitted to the female, leading to trichomonas vaginitis and moniliformis vaginitis.

What are the symptoms of male vaginal candidiasis?

1. The main symptom of male candidal vaginitis is severe itching, which affects sleep and work. The symptoms generally range from mild to intolerable. Patients often scratch unconsciously, which causes swelling, flushing, and even redness, swelling, and burning sensation of the foreskin.

2. The glans and foreskin will become red and swollen. Balanitis can be caused by urinary tract infection or irritation from clothes and detergents. Various male fungal infections can also cause inflammation. Balanitis is more common in patients with excessive foreskin or phimosis, because excessive foreskin can become a place for dirt to accumulate, and dirt can irritate the glans and foreskin and cause inflammation.

3. The affected area will have erythema, swelling, fever, ulceration, exudation, and in severe cases, blisters and pustules may appear. The patient will feel burning and pain. In severe cases, the patient will have fever, general weakness and other discomforts. If male fungal infection of glans is not healed for a long time, the glans and foreskin will adhere to form secondary phimosis, and even lead to stenosis of the external urethral opening.

What should men do if they have vaginal candidiasis?

1. Fungal vaginitis is a common disease. When using the wash, patients should take anti-inflammatory drugs, and should also use hormones and antibiotics reasonably. It should be reminded that the use of these drugs and washes must be carried out under the guidance of a doctor, and the dosage should also be followed according to the doctor's instructions.

2. The patient should pay attention to personal hygiene. It is best not to use the underwear that has been worn before, and replace it with a new one. Towels, basins and other items that are usually used should be disinfected with boiling water, and if conditions permit, it is best to replace them. After washing, underwear and towels should be dried in the sun.

3. Patients should also pay attention to not eating spicy food during the treatment period. If patients like to smoke and drink, it is best to quit smoking and drinking. They should ensure adequate sleep every day and have a regular life.

When treating male candidal vaginitis, it should be noted that some patients with candidal vaginitis will see their symptoms improve or disappear quickly after oral and topical treatments, but this does not mean that the candidal vaginitis has been cured, but that the Candida has been temporarily suppressed. Patients must not stop taking the medicine, but should follow the doctor's instructions and complete the treatment course. Otherwise, it will lead to chronic candidal vaginitis, which will not be cured for a long time, causing inconvenience to the patient's life and mental stress.

Diet for men with vaginal candidiasis

1. Avoid spicy foods and drinks such as chili peppers, peppercorns, raw onions, raw garlic, and white wine.

2. Avoid irritating foods: Marine fish, crabs, shrimps, clams, hairy clams, oysters, abalone and other aquatic products are all irritating foods and are not conducive to the reduction of inflammation.

3. Avoid sweet and greasy foods: Overly sweet foods such as candy, cream cakes, eight-treasure rice pudding, glutinous rice cakes, lard and fatty pork, mutton fat, and egg yolks. These foods have a humidifying effect, which will reduce the treatment effect and make the disease prolong and difficult to treat.

4. Avoid drinking alcohol: Alcohol is a warm and stimulating food. Drinking alcohol will increase dampness and heat, making the condition worse.

5. Avoid fatty, fried, moldy, and pickled foods.
