What is prostate induration?

The problem of prostate induration is relatively complicated. This situation can usually be discovered through rectal examination. At the same time, there will be obvious lumps in the prostate area. When prostate induration appears clinically, it is generally considered to be directly related to prostate nodules. Therefore, treatment needs to be combined with the specific symptoms and severity of the prostate. So what is prostate induration?

1. When a lump is found in the prostate during rectal examination, it is usually suspected to be a cancerous lesion of the prostate. Prostatic tuberculosis, granulomatous prostatitis, etc. can also cause symptoms of prostatic lumps. It is usually a cancerous lesion of the prostate. Prostatic tuberculosis, granulomatous prostatitis, etc. can also cause symptoms of prostatic lumps.

2. Frequent urination is an early sign of prostate hyperplasia nodules, especially the increase in nocturnal urination is more clinically significant. Generally speaking, the number of nocturnal urinations is often parallel to the degree of prostate hypertrophy. Elderly people who used to be unable to get up at night now urinate 1 to 2 times at night, which often reflects the onset of early obstruction, and the development from 2 times a night to 4 to 5 times a night or even more indicates the development and aggravation of the disease. In the late stage of prostate nodules, urethral obstruction is severe, bladder compensation function is incomplete, and residual urine in the bladder continues to increase. When it exceeds 200 ml, a mass can be felt in the patient's lower abdomen, and urination is not in a line, but in a dripping state. As the pressure inside the bladder increases, it is transmitted upward to the kidneys, causing increased pressure inside the kidneys on both sides, causing bilateral hydronephrosis, impairing kidney function, and leading to chronic uremia. When suffering from prostate stones, inflammation, fibrous benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostate obstruction and other diseases, clinical rectal examination will reveal hard nodules in the prostate.

3. The vast majority of prostate nodules are benign, and only a very small number are malignant. Prostate hyperplasia is a treatable disease. Generally speaking, as long as the patient does not have symptoms such as increased nocturia, frequent urination, and urgency that affect sleep and work, it is completely unnecessary to treat it. If it is a malignant nodule, generally speaking, his PSA (a tumor marker for prostate cancer) will also increase. PSA is a very sensitive indicator, and no matter how much it increases, you should consult a specialist in time.
