1. Is the foreskin circumcised or not?

Everyone's situation is different. However, if you have sexual dysfunction such as premature ejaculation, and you have prepuce or phimosis, you should consult a doctor to see if you should undergo circumcision to improve your symptoms. Prepuce can cause smegma to accumulate in the foreskin, causing phimosis. Repeated inflammation can shrink the foreskin opening and adhere to the glans penis to form phimosis. Penile cancer may be related to long-term irritation from smegma. Therefore, people with phimosis and prepuce should undergo surgical treatment as soon as possible.

2. How to judge whether the foreskin is too long

The symptom of prepuce is that the foreskin covers the urethra opening, but can be turned up to expose the urethra opening and glans penis. Children with prepuce should pay attention to maintaining local cleanliness and hygiene, and clean the foreskin dirt frequently or daily to prevent glans penis inflammation.

If the glans penis is often stimulated by inflammation, the foreskin opening may shrink and adhere to the glans penis, forming an acquired phimosis. Generally, redundant prepuce does not require surgical treatment. Surgery is only required when the redundant prepuce is combined with phimosis.

3. Best time for circumcision

It is very important to choose the best time for circumcision. Because excessive foreskin or phimosis will hinder the development of genitals, leading to genital dysplasia and then short genitals, circumcision can be performed when the child is around 8-10 years old.

Spring and autumn are the two most suitable seasons for circumcision. Autumn is known as the best season for circumcision because of its dry weather and low risk of inflammation after surgery.
