What is the cause of trichomonas in men

From a clinical medical perspective, the onset of trichomoniasis is also seasonal, because most of the time, trichomonas is in a dormant state in winter, which is also an important reason why many patients are prone to trichomoniasis in summer. Generally speaking, women are more likely to suffer from trichomoniasis than men, but a small number of men also suffer from trichomoniasis. So what are the causes of trichomoniasis in men?

1. Trichomonas is almost immobile in winter and only moves more obviously when the weather is hot, so it is more common in summer. According to experts, Trichomonas parasitizes in the vagina and urethra of women, while in the urethra, foreskin, prostate or epididymis of men.

2. After a man is infected with trichomoniasis, the trichomonads mainly parasitize in the urethra, bladder and prostate, causing local inflammation. If we mix the patient's urethral secretions or prostatic fluid with a proper amount of warm salt water and examine it under a microscope, if we can see active trichomonads, we can diagnose trichomoniasis.

3. If a man is infected with trichomoniasis, he often feels itchy and burning in the urethra after urination. If accompanied by other secondary infections, the secretions in the urethra will not only increase, but also become purulent. If the infection spreads to the posterior urethra, it will cause symptoms such as urinary urgency, frequent urination, and urinary pain, and even complicated by prostatitis. If the infection spreads to the epididymis of the seminal vesicle, it will cause male sexual dysfunction, impotence, premature ejaculation, and infertility.

4. These symptoms often appear on the first night after sexual intercourse, and may disappear on their own, and reappear after the next sexual intercourse. In more serious cases, in addition to symptoms of urinary tract infection such as frequent urination, urinary pain, urethral itching and burning, and increased urethral secretions, systemic symptoms such as physical discomfort, loss of appetite, insomnia, and headache may also occur.

5. If a man is diagnosed with trichomoniasis, he should not be nervous and should dispel his doubts. Because trichomoniasis is not a serious disease, it can be completely cured with general treatment and there are no sequelae. He and his wife should receive treatment at the same time. During the treatment period, it is best not to have sex to avoid reinfection.
