Morning Erection After Circumcision

Morning Erection After Circumcision

After a circumcision, there will still be morning erections, which is also normal. In fact, the complications induced by this surgery are not that serious. Most patients suffer from bleeding and infection due to improper care, so they should ensure that their wounds will not be infected, so as to avoid these conditions and make the recovery from surgery faster.

1. Bleeding:

It is usually caused by incomplete hemostasis during surgery or loose ligature. The most common bleeding sites are the superficial dorsal vein of the penis and the frenulum of the prepuce. Bleeding from the superficial dorsal vein of the penis is prone to hematoma, and bleeding from the frenulum of the prepuce often results in blood flowing out of the wound, and may also form hematoma under the skin. If this symptom occurs, you should seek medical attention immediately.

2. Infection:

Failure to effectively control inflammation of the foreskin and glans penis before surgery, mistaken circumcision for those with incarcerated foreskin, lack of attention to aseptic operation or rough surgical operation, and urine contamination of the wound after surgery can all lead to wound infection. After infection occurs, some sutures should be removed to allow drainage, bed rest, and medication should be applied.

3. Edema of frenulum:

Too much skin is left at the frenulum, the bandage is too tight, standing or walking for too long on the day after the operation, etc. If edema of the frenulum occurs, the bandage should be loosened, the glans penis should be moved to the side of the abdomen, supported with a "T" belt, and drugs should be used to prevent infection, as well as physical therapy.

4. Improper circumcision:

If the foreskin is removed too much, it will affect the erection of the penis after the operation. In severe cases, skin grafting can be performed to correct it. If the foreskin is removed too little, the foreskin will still cover the glans penis after the operation. If the foreskin is turned upward without any difficulty, it can be turned over and cleaned frequently. If it is still not turned over satisfactorily or the infection still occurs repeatedly, circumcision can be performed again.

Foreskin treatment during puberty

Adolescent boys are sensitive and curious, and are particularly concerned about their own organs. They discuss and compare with each other enthusiastically among classmates. Foreskin is one of the topics.

There is a simple way to check whether the foreskin is too long. When erect, the foreskin can be pulled back behind the glans penis. If it is difficult to pull back, the foreskin is too long. If there is phimosis or foreskin incarceration, surgery is necessary. Phimosis means that the foreskin is too narrow to allow the glans penis to be fully exposed; foreskin incarceration means that the foreskin is stuck after being pulled to the glans penis and cannot return to its original position.
