Prostate disease occurs in men, but most of them are elderly men. Generally, men are very likely to have prostate problems after they are over 50 years old. During this period, men will also enter menopause. When men have prostate disease, they will feel pain when urinating, and it may also cause prostate hypertrophy. So how to treat prostate hypertrophy? Prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia, often occurs in elderly people over 50 years old. It is a common disease in which the prostate gland is significantly enlarged, affecting the health of elderly men. Modern medicine believes that prostatic hypertrophy is related to the endocrine system, and is caused by the proliferation of epithelial cells and stroma of the urethral glands and suburethral glands in the inner layer of the prostate, cystic dilatation of the alveoli, and hyperplasia of connective tissue and smooth muscle. Since the prostate is located exactly at the outlet of the bladder and surrounds the urethra, once hyperplasia occurs, it will compress the urethra from all directions, obstructing the discharge of urine in the bladder, causing a series of urinary system lesions, and thus endangering sexual health. Prostatic hypertrophy refers to a disease with a series of symptoms caused by the proliferation of fibrous cells in the prostate due to decreased sex hormone secretion or inflammatory hyperplasia, which compresses the urethra. During menopause, the secretion of sex hormones decreases, the endocrine of the testicles decreases, the secretion of the prostate decreases, the glands atrophy and degenerate, the connective tissue in the prostate proliferates, the prostate enlarges, compresses the urethra and vas deferens, and causes urination and ejaculation disorders. Due to the decrease in the amount of sex hormones, other parts of the body also gradually decline. Benign prostatic hyperplasia causes increased urination frequency, and often requires getting up at night to urinate. In the late stage, each urination requires a long time of force to force out urine; in more serious cases, even with the head against the wall and full strength, only a few drops of urine can fall like drizzle, which is very painful. Because there is often residual urine in the bladder, it is easy to develop infections and stones, and even filling incontinence and renal failure. Sometimes hematuria occurs, often accompanied by inguinal hernia, hemorrhoids, rectal prolapse, etc. Rectal digital examination can feel the enlargement of the prostate, the central groove is flat or absent, and the appearance is smooth. Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is mainly caused by sex hormone metabolism disorders in the elderly, which leads to varying degrees of glandular and (or) fibromuscular tissue hyperplasia, resulting in enlargement of the prostate volume, destruction of normal structure and causing a series of functional disorders. |
