Male adolescents will have lumps in their breasts during their development. In fact, this is quite common at this stage of development, because the male bodies are prone to secretion disorders during their development, and the breast tissue is very sensitive to the secretion of female hormones, so lumps will appear. These phenomena will disappear on their own in the later stages of development. Breast development is generally the first sexual phenomenon that occurs in girls during puberty. This is mainly due to the high level of estrogen secreted by the female ovaries, which stimulates the development of the mammary gland alveoli and mammary gland ducts, causing the breasts to bulge. However, some boys who have reached puberty may occasionally feel a little pain in their breasts. When they touch them carefully, they may find lumps in their breasts, which makes them feel anxious. In fact, breast lumps during male puberty are normal physiological changes. Breasts are mainly composed of mammary tissue, fat and connective tissue. There are special structures on the surface of mammary cells that can recognize and accept estrogen. When estrogen binds to the receptors of mammary cells, the metabolism of mammary cells becomes active, causing mammary cells to proliferate and breasts to develop and bulge. When male adolescents enter puberty, the testicles secrete a small amount of estrogen while producing androgen, but the amount is very small. Estrogen causes the breast cells in the nipple area to proliferate continuously, leading to the formation of breast lumps. Breast lumps in adolescent boys are often confined to the underside of the nipples, and sometimes they may be painful to touch. According to surveys, among male adolescents aged 13-15, 1/3-2/3 of them have nipple protrusions on one or both sides, the diameter of the areola has increased, and there is pigmentation, but less than 1/5 of them have breast lumps. Some boys do not care about the minor changes that happen to them and may not even notice the changes in their breasts. Since the increase in estrogen during puberty is temporary, these breast lumps usually disappear on their own after a few months to a year. Therefore, neither boys nor parents need to feel embarrassed or uneasy. After understanding what is going on when a boy has a lump on his chest, parents do not need to worry too much if the lump is not very large. In addition, boys are very likely to have chest lumps when they grow, so the lumps will slowly disappear as boys continue to grow. Parents should just let nature take its course and not choose medication for boys, otherwise it will affect the child's body. |
