How long does it take for acute prostatitis to heal?

The prostate is one of the male organs, but diseases such as prostate cysts or prostatitis often occur, mainly due to bacterial infection. The prostate is divided into two types, one is acute prostate and the other is chronic prostate. Men will feel physical discomfort and feel obvious discomfort when urinating. Do not have frequent sexual life during the illness, clean the affected area more often to avoid bacterial infection.

Prostatitis is divided into acute and chronic prostatitis, nonbacterial prostatitis and prostatitis. Bacterial prostatitis often has bacteriuria, while nonbacterial prostatitis or prostatitis rarely has urinary tract infection, prostatitis has no inflammatory signs, and prostate massage fluid is normal. Prostatitis, especially chronic prostatitis, is a common disease in male adults. At present, the cause of most chronic prostatitis is still unclear, and the treatment effect is not satisfactory.

Acute prostatitis is a common infectious disease of the male urogenital system, with Escherichia coli being the main pathogen, accounting for about 80%.

1. Bacterial infection occurs through bloodstream infection or direct spread. Direct spread through the urethra is more common. The main causes are:

(1) In gonococcal urethritis, bacteria enter the prostate through the prostatic duct and cause inflammation.

(2) Prostatic hyperplasia and stones cause the prostatic urethra to deform, bend and become congested, resulting in loss of immunity to non-pathogenic bacteria and prostatitis.

(3) Bacteria may be introduced into the urethra during the use of instruments or bacteria from upper urinary tract infection may travel downward, causing prostate infection.

2. The infection route is bloodstream infection, which often occurs secondary to acute infection of the skin, tonsils, teeth, intestines or respiratory tract. Bacteria reach the prostate through the blood and cause infection.

Causes:

1. Discomfort during urination: Patients with prostatitis will experience bladder irritation, often accompanied by frequent urination, painful urination, burning sensation during urination, etc. In the morning, they will also find a lot of mucus secretions at the urethra, and sometimes they will experience symptoms such as difficulty urinating.

2. Physical discomfort: Prostatitis patients also have symptoms of physical discomfort. Some patients feel discomfort and swelling in the posterior urethra, perineum and anus. The swelling and pain are aggravated when squatting, defecating and sitting on a chair for a long time. Some patients will experience symptoms such as weakness and dizziness.

3. Sexual function: Prostatitis patients may also experience symptoms such as decreased libido, sometimes painful ejaculation, premature ejaculation, and difficulty in ejaculation. Prostatitis may also cause abnormal semen in patients, and may cause the semen to not liquefy.
