What causes red and itchy foreskin?

The male sexual organs are very sensitive, and the foreskin often becomes red, swollen, and itchy. This is very dangerous because the sexual organs are very important. If they are not properly protected, glans inflammation will occur, which will bring many changes to life and work. You can wipe it gently with disinfectant, but be sure to be careful not to have too frequent sex, and pay attention to maintaining clean hygiene to avoid more serious sexual dysfunction problems.

Men often experience foreskin itching, which may be caused by balanitis or unclean sexual intercourse. Non-infectious factors may cause foreskin itching, including local trauma, friction, contraceptives, soap and detergent stimulation, etc., which may manifest as edema, erythema, erosion, exudation and even bleeding. If itching is secondary to bacterial infection, it may become purulent and form an ulcer. The patient has obvious pain and difficulty in moving. Clinically, it is called acute superficial glansitis.

Patients with amoeba infection and itchy foreskin often first have balanoposthitis, which causes the local loss of normal barrier function, and is then caused by intestinal amoebiasis. Local erosion, ulceration, and tissue necrosis are obvious, and amoeba can be found in direct smears of secretions. Itchy foreskin may be caused by glans balanoposthitis. Patients have obvious itching, and when the urethra is involved, frequent urination and urgency may occur. A small number of patients with itchy foreskin may present with acute edematous balanoposthitis, with obvious foreskin edema accompanied by itching, small ulcers, and sometimes diabetes. Very rarely, men experience penile itching, burning, and redness of the foreskin and glans penis within hours of having intercourse with a woman with candidal vaginitis.

Itchy foreskin can lead to sexual dysfunction. During the inflammation period of the foreskin and glans, the sensory nerves of the glans are in a sensitive period. In addition, the damage caused by inflammation makes it easy to have premature ejaculation during sexual life, which can lead to impotence in the long run. In addition, itchy foreskin and the hypertrophic narrow ring formed by the adhesion of the foreskin shrinkage can cause the penis to be pulled backwards during erection, leading to erectile dysfunction (impotence).
